This is one of the best unnecessary items I have ever bought. I have had so much fun with it. The drinks are easy to make. Are they better than handcrafted cocktails? Of course not. But they are good - ranging from great to I won't buy that pod again. Most however range from B+ to B- with a few As and a few Cs. The machine is a lot of fun and everyone who comes over wants to try it out. My adult daughter and her (adult - 21+) friends had a blast with the machine when she came home from Spring Break. I buy the pods from the Bartesian website. It takes 2 days to arrive via fed ex and shipping is free when your order $50 or more. Pods are usually $19.99 for 8 but if you do a subscription its 20% off. If you have a friend who is a drinker the Bev is a great present. About $200 -$220 - not a cheap gift, but if that's the price range, it's a great gift. Although to make it a greater gift you might supply some bottles of booze to go with it. It easy to clean once you figure it out. My younger daughter makes mocktails with it. By far my favorite thing I've bought in a long time.
