My mother and I needed a place to stay while dealing with a family emergency in Nashville. Knights Inn is reasonably priced, clean, and the staff have been wonderful to us. It is located near downtown, has free wifi, and free parking for guests.
The hotel description failed to mention that neither the pool or the "free" breakfast buffet was operational. We found the staff to be unhelpful in getting an uber and finally checked out early for our last day and stayed elsewhere even though the rate we paid was listed as nonrefundable. Can't really recommend.
This hotel was very difficult to find, even with a good map system guiding me, despite the tall sign letting you know it's location. The office for this hotel is not attached to the hotel so that was even more difficult to find since there is no sign at eye level on the building itself indicating that's where the office is. Although I believe the linen was washed (Ihope), it was very dingy looking and there was some small slight stains on the curtains, pillow cases and the bed covering. I went to call the office at 1 point and there was no dial tone on the phone so I don't know what was up with that Also one night a huge truck blocked my car in it's parking space so I couldn't leave along with at least 6 other cars were trapped by this big truck. The staff never did find out who the truck belonged to in order for them to move it, but luckily another guest was able to move his truck so that others could leave the parking lot. Also with their parking situation there were several nights there were not any spots available for me to be able to park my car near my room. So I had to park in the office parking lot which was quite a distance away from my hotel door. Luckily I was only there to sleep being out of the hotel room pretty much all day long into the late night. The only good thing about this hotel was the location is extremely convenient to get to downtown, just minutes away. The price is also the cheapest around. So I guess it's true, you get what you pay for.…
This place was terrible. I'm really not picky when it comes to finding a place to sleep on a road trip but if you're going to music row, do yourself a favor and find a place a little farther away and pay to park. There were no rooms available on the first floor. My elderly mother can't do stairs. We were told there was an elevator but turned out it didn't work. When we reported the problem, the front desk clerk couldn't have cared less. No apology, nothing. There were sketchy people everywhere. Blocking the walkways and stairs. Smoking dope. I suggest this place be avoided.
Stayed 1 night while I was driving from Tampa to Chicago. The room was dirty, hair was all in the shower, hair in the folded bath towels, hair on pillows and sheets were all stained. Floor was sticky and walls were dirty. The only reason I stayed was because I had sheets and pillows in my car since I was moving from Tampa to Chicago I brought stuff with me. When I checked in the guy was very rude when I asked about parking my car in a certain spot and because of that I chose not to complain about the room while I was there because I figured he wouldn't care. Also not the hotels fault, but I could hear people in and out of there cars and walking around yelling up to 330am on a Monday night.
