The Grand Hyatt Hong Kong garners applause for its festive and sophisticated ambiance, often accentuated with live music and elegant decor, according to guests. While some travelers debate the value, citing high prices, many agree that the hotel's luxurious rooms with breathtaking views, diverse dining options, and an exceptional club lounge justify the cost. Reviewers consistently commend the hotel for its cleanliness, from the well-kept rooms to the spotless facilities. Service is frequently described as attentive and professional, and the central location earns high marks for convenience. However, reviews on room comfort vary, with a few guests pointing out minor issues.

The Grand Hyatt is the perfect staycation choice with plush rooms, a great choice of restaurants, attractive promotions, thoughtful service and a convenient location. The hotel has also taken remarkable precautions to ensure hygiene and guest safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Special credits for allowing us to combine various promotions such as the use of F&B credits and other discounts (New World Club discounts etc.) at the restaurants.
Our only disappointment was that the in-room dining menu was not as extensive as we expected and the pool area was very crowded with a lot of non-resident guests. However, when we raised these issues to the hotel staff they followed up with it promptly.

We stayed at this hotels numerous times during my corporate travel days and returned for the memory lane. Unfortunately the years had taken the shine off its grandness, the grand lobby and public areas were still impressive, but the hotel now felt pretty average. Service was mixed, some staff still retained their warm of the past, the rest with indifference. Our corner room was of decent size, had superb view of Victoria harbour and immaculately clean, but had some odd furnitures like a huge table that could easily sit six for dinner, in a hotel room ? Another tall table in front of sofa that blocked the lower half of TV.

Club lounge was closed for breakfast and guests were asked to use the very busy cafe by the lobby. We were initially asked by a pocker faced receptionist to sit at a corner next to where the dirty plates where kept until we refused. Surely under these circumstances they could have allocated an area for club room guests ? Furthermore, the club lounge was full during the happy hour, so closing it for breakfast was just using Covid as excuse for cost cutting.

We booked the most expensive club room, but not even a fruit basket nor some chocolate was offered as token welcome, it reflected how down hill the hotel had became. Lastly, no fault of the hotel, it was surround by huge construction and was noisy during the day. The construction is likely to be there for a while. With so many other highend hotels to choose from, I would recommend to avoid this one.

Just a quick one to share that my family are i enjoyed three nights at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Being unable to travel overseas we thought we'd take advantage of the incredible Grand Hyatt with the now normal term of a "staycation".

Booked a normal room using $'s and then upgraded to a grand suite using a Globalist Suite Upgrade Award. The room was fantastic and perfect size for a family of 4 (two young kids 3 and 6). The Hyatt team went above and beyond to welcome us with lots of small little gestures for the kids and they loved our stay!

Trip was spent hanging out at the resort like pool, running around the large playground and then exploring some of the local sights. We walked down to the AIA ferris wheel, took a trip on the Star Ferry and generally enjoyed a few walk about trips giving the kids a good taste of the city. Mum and daughter also enjoyed a nice trip to the nail spa which is in the hotel building. Food was amazing as always enjoying breakfast at the Grand café, room service and evening snacks at the beautiful club.

The hotel went above and beyond in making us feel safe given all things Coronavirus. Temp checking at the front door, plenty of hand sanitisers, staff wearing masks etc etc....

Thank you to the team at the Hyatt, was a great break for the family which we really needed given all the home schooling and other pressures we all face in the current upside down World of ours.

Will hopefully be back there again soon...

Finally, big thank you to Scott, Jon and the Club team for making us feel so welcome and valued.

Oliver

Grand Hyatt Hong Kong - excellent service, view and location.

We stayed up for almost ten days and absolutely enjoyed our stay. The main lobby is spacious and good looking. The basin with fresh flowers and marble reception table greet us with good expectations which consequently came true. While checking in our language is already packed and ready to be delivered to our rooms. Many thanks to the hotel administration for our upgrade to the rooms with Victoria Harbour view.

The rooms were incredibly comfortable and mobilised: you can control the light, temperature and curtains with the buttons next to bed. The room is perfectly organised; there is enough space for two. the furniture looks new. The TV, iron are newly too. The bed is soft and big and are refreshed every day. The view of Victoria harbour was absolutely amazing: you can observe the Central and Wan Chai regions, the Harbour and the Kowloon area.

Talking about cervices...I liked the way our room was cleaned daily. But the thing I mentioned was the pool service which I wish will be improved. Everyone from the staff was polite and I was feeling welcome every time I entered the lobby.
The Gym is convenient and I loved the sauna zone.

Should say about the location. The hotel is right next to the expo center which made our lives easier. It is easy to get a taxi, walk to a MTR station and to the Wan Chai Ferry Pier.

The initial expression of our stay is just...excellent.

Kind regards,
KK

Bought a staycation package that included the club access, a room with a harbour view as well as some spending credits.

First the room itself, GH is very old but the rooms must have been renovated recently as the room decoration is very modern and was still in a very well-kept condition. Like most hotels, you can see through from the bathroom to the bedroom but unlike other hotels where there is at least a glass pane separating the bedroom from the bathroom, this one has no glass and therefore you could get into the bathtub from the bedroom as well as from the bathroom. This makes the bathroom a lot roomy. (You could pull down the blinds to keep the privacy) The down-side is, the bathroom only has a single wash basin and not the double basin you see in many new luxury hotels.

If RC's selling point is a view from the clouds, then the selling point for GH would be a harbour view that has both IFC, ICC, as well as HKCEC. In fact you could see most of the interesting landmarks within a single frame.

We had booked the dinner buffet at Tiffin and for those who don't aware, it is an European dinner buffet with no Asian food including no sashimi, sushi, Indiana or Chinese food… so if you are used to these kinds of things then go to the Grand Café downstairs and save some $$$ as well. In return you get oysters (French and Irish) but only 1 lobster per person (made to order) and of course the famous desserts @ Tiffin. The food quality was nice but with limited variety I don't think it deserved that kind of price tag.

The buffet breakfast at Grand Cafe on the other hand was one of the best I had among the 5* hotels.

Service in general was good and staff was attentive, sincere and well-trained.

Well equipped hotel.
Nice room with nice view.

The playground is very good for family with children.

The staff from club lounge is absolutely good. Especially Scott and Jon, they demonstrated the upmost care of customers.
Scott set up the high chair for my baby and sanitize it before we use.
I found that he sanitise his hand frequently which is very impressive and makes me feel much comfort during the time at the lounge.
Jon is also showing much care to customers and is trying his best to provide what we need.
Excellent service!

Just a little comment, if crackers can be provided with foie gras pate will be excellent.

I tired the escape 24 package and taste of Japan package before.
Both are worth value and the food is delicious.

We chose Grand Hyatt for the celebration of our 10th anniversary. The room is cozy and the harbour view is excellent! Our package includes breakfast and a dinner that can be selected from few restaurant options. We picked the Italian restaurant Grisinni. The set dinner was fine and much more beyond expectations. We were especially impressed by the freshly-baked bread and the attentive service of the staff, who are all friendly and helpful. We had a pleasant stay in the hotel.

The only drawback is that for the valet parking when we check-out. We’ve been waiting for more than 30 mins to get back our car. We checked few times with the parking staff but they didn’t seem to realize the issue. We were just told to keep waiting until the Concierge Manager, Mr. Barrow noticed our concerns and came to assist us. We finally got our car back with 40 mins waiting time in total. As a renowned 5-star hotel, we believe this is absolutely not a normal practice. We think the hotel may review the procedures and make possible improvements to avoid similar mistakes. We would still consider Grand Hyatt for our next stay in future.

Dear stephaniey802, Thank you for choosing Grand Hyatt for your staycation and also for taking time to share your experience. We are very happy to hear that you had an enjoyable stay in a room with breath-taking view of the iconic Victoria Harbour and your dining experience at our Grissini Italian restaurant was also an impressive one. Your compliments on the excellent service provided by the team at Grissini is much appreciated. However, we regret that we failed to deliver a smooth departure for you. Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay caused by our valet service. We are glad that Lucas has assisted to resolve the issue yet this is no excuse for failing to deliver a high standard of service at all times. Please be assured that your valuable feedback has been shared and we will definitely review the procedures to avoid future recurrences. The view was amazing and the room was big. The bathroom was very clean that made me no hesitation to use the bathtub during pandemic. The food quality of in-room dining was good. The buffet breakfast experience was excellent. Huge variety of food selection and the food was well and cleanly presented. I went there during CNY cum Valentine's Day and obviously the numbers of guests who went to breakfast during peak hours was overflowed but the hotel could arrange the seating very efficiently and nicely. It impressed me. I had a very bad experience with another very high reputed 5 star hotel that I had to wait for more than 1 hour for breakfast in a queue beside the toilet and dining area and many guests even had to do take away from buffet breakfast table because the waiting time was too long ridiculously. So, Grand Hyatt could handle the crowded man-flow during Chinese New Year, I highly recommended it.

My Boyfriend & I came to Grand Hyatt Hong Kong for my birthday staycation. On our arrival, we were given warm welcome from Ashley & Alona from Sales office and upgraded to Harbour view room. The room is very large in size and there is a Happy Birthday decoration which I feel surprised about it. We then have my birthday dinner at Grissini. The staff there are very nice, professional, and attentive which give us a very relaxing moment. Special thanks to Marcus who is our server.

Next day, we have breakfast buffet at Grand Cafe with good spread of food selection and the taste is good. Staff are nice & helpful.

In summary,
1) The staff in hotel and restaurant are so nice and attentive.
2) The facilities are under very good maintenance.
3) The food in hotel and restaurants taste so good.
4) This Escape-24 staycation package is worth to take as we just spend around HK$2K to have a large room to stay, dinner, breakfast and good surprises from Grand Hyatt staff (+my boyfriend's idea & arrangement).

I highly recommend anyone to come join the Grand Hyatt staycation package.

Thank you again to all staff that served us and assist us during our stay.

Average service only, I checked in at the thing, there were 1 person outside not wearing a mask and the parking staff did NOT tell them frequently, I checked in I got a bag saying "Redeem a special treat for your kid!" and a toy, very good. I was on my floor with my card, i hate to say tha but the lights were dark, maybe just me since I'm afraid of darks, but still. I scanned the QR code for the free 120$ HK Minibar session and like 5 piece of Crackers were 25$ a small beer was 85$, a Gummy bear candy medium size was 35$, eclipse mint candy was 35$ and some regular peanuts for 75$. Very expensive, oh yeah and. There were a discount for the K11 hall of 500$, but you need to spend 5000$ in order to use it, like seriously? The sea view was nice though, there was a Buy 1 Get 1 FREE Champange bar deal, pretty nice but haven't tried any drinks or snacks, We just chilled pretty nice! Although, the upcoming 'said' thing Is a pretty much dissapointment, I went to the Tiffin Restaurant at M/F, I went to there once on 4/4/2021, Very juicy lobster, very nice Iberico ham, very nice beef, nice desserts, nice seafood and nice lobsterr soup. But, this experience was AWFUL. The ham were as bad as cold cuts with the price of 780$ not Ilberico, pumpkin soup not even some mushroom. Lobster not juicy, replaced seafood. Like WHAT? and same price too! The public park was nice, I saw somebody buying fast food of a sandwich and eating it there with friends, pretty nice view, I wanted to do some workout, not enough space at ALL.
The bathtub didn't even have a window, the service and staff was very friendly but the service was so long and the room Is so small, I paid 3000$ for 24hour package with 1000$ food voucher, sinc eIts 24hour package. I got up and there were 2 breakfast sets the Grand Cafe one and Tiffin one, obviously our package included the best one (Grand cafe) but staff told us to go to Tiffin because there were too many people at Grand Cafe, like what? The food was not good, pretty normal and the Salami had so much oil with olives, Only had 2 rounds and the cold cut were pretty normal. Not expecting much but I ordered a Parma Ham Pizza, Not much ham at all and the pizza was not so crunchy, Checkout service pretty nice and I got a nice relaxing period of the bathtub, It was an average service after all.
