Superior Court

NOTICE TO YAKIMA COUNTY FAMILY LAW ATTORNEYS & STAFF:

Pro Se motions will move to 9 am every Friday morning as of Friday May 17, 2024.  The court will place an announcement on the Family Law Court Division section of the Superior Court website, and signage will be posted to assist unrepresented litigants with notice of this change in docket schedule.  There will likely be litigants who send out notice of hearing setting motions for 10 am for a while after the change.  Those will be calendared in the 9 am docket slot.  We will do our best to identify motions where the notice says 10 am and wait until 10 am to hear the motion if the responding party is not present at 9 am roll call. Thank you for your patience and understanding.  If you have any questions, please contact Yakima County Superior Court Administration at 509-574-2710.

Jury Service

If you are reporting for Jury Duty, you will want to allow for more time to park due to increased traffic and limited availability.

If you have any questions related to jury service, please click here.

Jury service is mandatory and prospective jurors' names are obtained from voter registration and DOL records. Service may be required as often as once per year. The length of jury service may be any combination of days, or the length of a trial to its completion. Start times vary but are no earlier than 8:30 AM and the court attempts to finish by 5:00 PM - Business attire is suggested.
