Charles Bedford Potter

Charles Bedford Potter, age 78, passed from this life on October 1, 2021 with his family surrounding him. He was born to Shelby Bedford Potter and Mary Weger Potter in Cartwright, OK on April 6, 1943.

Charles married the love of his life Karen Walton on June 13, 1970 and together they were blessed with 3 Sons and 1 Daughter. Charles was known for his kindness, decency, and overall great attitude. He was always quick to offer an encouraging word and smile. He was a very hard worker. He loved doing his metal detecting. He loved being outside and riding his side by side and four wheelers. But, what brought him the most joy was spending time with family and getting to be “Papa” to his grandkids.

Charles proudly served our country in the United States Army and was Pvt 1st Class US Army Missal Control and was stationed at Angel Island in the 1960’s.

Charles is preceded in death by Father and Step-mother Shelby and Gloria Potter, and Mother and Step-father Mary and Woody Doty.

Survived by his wife Karen Potter, his children Dean Bacon, Sam Bacon of Vancouver, Washington, and Scott Potter wife Stephanie of Dryden, Washington, and Kimberly Dorr and husband Chuck of Mesa, AZ, and 8 grandchildren. Brothers Roger Potter of AZ and Randy and wife Dawn of WA. Sisters Pat Wilhelmi and husband Larry of Wenattachee, Washington, and Roberta Tipton of Kerrville, TX. Mother-in-law Thelma Walton and many in-laws, nieces and nephews and friends.
