- Klaudia_KarpinskaOslo, Norway109 contributionsBotanic Garden in Kiel consist of big park with numerous trees and plants. It was divided by several parts based on a parts of world from which plants growing there come from. In Botanic Garden are also buildings with exotic flowers and cactuses. In this place could be also found nice designed playground made of wooden elements.
In my opinion Botanic Garden in Kiel is a prefect place to learn more abut various species of plants. It is also ideal for relaxing walk or to spend time with children. I really recommend this place!Written October 28, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The exhibits on the fishing industry in the port and the area's naval and maritime history are extensively documented if in a somewhat disjointed manner (chronology is not a main strength of the exhibits). The old fish hall building itself is an appropriate venue for the museum.Written June 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The entry price of €9 for a family ticket is good value for money even though the Aquarium itself is quite small and easily done within 30min.Written August 15, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - somLund, Sweden58 contributionsWe loved this museum, the numerous, fascinating skeletons, stuff animals and formaldeyde jar collection. As it is part of the university, I assume it is educational too.
For us, the highlight was the room with the blue whale and a number of other whale skeletons. It reminds me of a miniture version of same display at London Natural History museum.
My only issue and perhaps this is unfair, is the lack of English. One was able to download an app but it didnt quite work. We of course would have got that more more out of the experience and hence the 4 stars.
It’s very reasonably priced at 10 euro for 2 adults and 2 kids. We spent about 2hrs here.Written February 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. People swim off the piers on warm days and various boat clubs have premises along the route. There are plenty of restaurants and places to quench your thirst. Further away from the centre, the restaurants thin out and parts of the promenade need some repair.Written August 27, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CMBtripcomments149 contributionsWent for the day and saw only the funfair and lovely tall ships in the harbour, no sailing which was further out from the town. Stalls of food, ice cream, jewellery, clothing and some crafts. There was a good rock band playing in the entrance to the town. Later in the early evening was a small boat with a salsa/ tango trio band and a larger arena from 8pm with a pop rock band. The harbour was busy and had a party atmosphere. Took a boat trip in the evening with captains buffet which was €79 pp excl drinks and not very good value but a nice thing to do. There was no wind to sail unfortunately so it was more a motor trip to the outer harbour, float and watch fireworks from far out in the sea.Written June 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
