Kenneth “Kenny” S. Campbell, 78

February 18, 2024

Kenneth “Kenny” S. Campbell, a cherished member of the Lancaster, PA community, passed away peacefully at the age of 78, surrounded by his loving family at home. Kenneth was born to the late Stephen Campbell and Kathryn Carello-Stumpf in Lancaster, and raised by Aunt Junie, where he spent a lifetime making cherished memories and touching the lives of those around him.

Kenneth was a man of service and dedication. He proudly served his country as a member of the Coast Guard during the Vietnam War, demonstrating honor and commitment throughout his tenure. Following his military service, Kenneth embarked on a successful career at Kellogg’s, where he served as a machine mechanic for 18 years, showcasing his expertise and work ethic. He was also a Fourth Degree Knight and a member of The American Legion.

A graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, Kenneth held education in high regard and valued lifelong learning. He was a testament to the values instilled in him during his formative years.

Beyond his professional achievements, Kenneth was known for his zest for life and diverse interests. He had a passion for fishing, sports, and cheering on his favorite teams with enthusiasm. He found solace and enjoyed trips to Ocean City, where he could unwind and appreciate the beauty of nature. Kenneth had a deep appreciation for music and movies. His sweet tooth led him to enjoy desserts, and he relished the thrill of purchasing new, fun cars throughout his life.

Kenneth’s faith was an integral part of his identity, and he was a devout Catholic who found strength and comfort in his spiritual beliefs.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Marie Campbell, his two children, from a previous marriage, daughter Kimberly Campbell wife of Michael Nafe, and son, Kenneth A. Campbell. And his five grandchildren: Megan, Morgan, Olivia, Ava, and Madison. His stepchildren Tina & Dwight Adamo-Gayle and Joseph & Aleesha Adamo, as well as his three step-grandchildren, Brooke, Sophia & Joey. Proceeded by his siblings Barry Stumpf, Phyllis Bernard, and Carolyn Twigg wife of Dennis. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A funeral Mass will be held on February 23, 2024, at 11am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Family invites guests to a visitation one hour prior to Mass. Kenneth will be laid to rest at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity can be made in Kenneth’s honor.
