Fifty Shades of Grey fame actor Dakota Johnson is an avid reader. Surprised? Well, the actor loves to read, read and read in her free time. She’s one of those readers who loves to completely devour herself in the experience. “I want to fall down the rabbit hole every time I read… to invest in the book, invest in the language, invest in the references. Like, Oh, what is that piece of art she’s talking about? Who’s that musician?” she had mentioned in an interview to Bustle.

On March 1, Dakota launched a book club called TeaTime Book Club. The name of her book club is inspired by her production company TeaTime Pictures that she co-founded with former Netflix development executive Ro Donnelly.

Apart from a monthly book recommendation, readers will get access to clips from authors and playlists that will complement the tone and genre of the book to make it an immersive experience. It’s safe to say it’s going to be a joy ride for all the book lovers out there who have curious minds and are all wanting for more out of a book.

About the book, Dakota shares how this is one book she wants to recommend to people for all her life. “It feels like we’re setting the bar so high, which I am proud of," Dakota had told Bustle. "Our book club is literary fiction. It’s not beach reads. It’s not silly. It’s not all female authors, but it is female-forward, and it’s a lot of first-time novelists," she added.
