Our journey began when our founder, James Faught, discovered his love for kayak fishing. It all started with a single purchase – a fishing-specific kayak. He was looking for a way to expand his possibilities while vacationing around Alabama’s Gulf Coast and that opened up a whole new world of exploration and opportunity to catch more fish. However, it was the quiet moments spent fishing and getting back to his childhood roots of bass fishing back in the Midwest that ignited his deep-seated passion for the sport. Midwest Kayak Company was born!
