With the final season of Episodes set to air later this year, breakout Kathleen Rose Perkins has already lined up her next role.
Perkins has been tapped to topline NBC drama pilot Good Girls, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The series explores what happens when three “good girl” suburban wives and mothers suddenly find themselves in desperate circumstances — they decide to stop playing it safe, and risk everything to take their power back.
Perkins will take on the lead role of Beth, a meek and frazzled mother of four and good girl who is starting to realize that she got the short end of the stick. She quickly discovers that her husband, Dean, has been unfaithful and, fed up with her life, decides that it’s time to stop playing it safe. She then robs a supermarket with her best friend, Ruby, and her younger sister, Annie. The robbery unveils Beth’s new, fierce side.
Good Girls is written and exec produced by Shondaland grad Jenna Bans. The drama is produced by Universal Television.
Perkins, who counts USA Network’s Colony as well as features Gone Girl, The Island and The Pact, is repped by Gersh and Trademark Talent. She joins Conviction‘s Manny Montana, who will recur if Good Girls goes to series, in the pilot.
