Rory Kinnear revealed that her “heroic and inspiring” disabled sister Karina died of a 48-year-old coronavirus.
Speaking to The Guardian, the devastated James Bond actor, 42, said that Karina had tested positive for the coronavirus early last week, the virus “attacking” her stomach, lungs and kidneys.
Karina passed away on Sunday afternoon, her family saying goodbye to FaceTime and the phone.

The theater star said that he “played Karina one of her favorite songs and told her how proud I was to be her brother and how grateful I felt for what she had taught me about life “.
A nurse also brandished Karina’s iPad so her mother could tell her favorite story via FaceTime on her mobile.
Rory said her mother then handed her cell phone over to her cell phone so her sister Kirsty could tell Karina how much she loved and would miss her.
Karina had been severely disabled after suffering from a lack of oxygen at birth which had caused severe brain damage.

“Her lung capacity was so diminished that we knew from the reports of her effects that she was likely to prove to be incredibly dangerous to her.
The star said the family had FaceTimed Karina the day before she died on Saturday, but at that time she was only kept alive by a BiPap (two-level positive airway) device.
On Sunday, they were invited to say their last socially distant farewell.
Praising his sister as “bubbling, courageous and ironic, with a passion for noise, laughter, family and chaos”, Rory then called for “more support, more options and more recognition” in the UK. Uni for disabled people.

He was transported to Madrid hospital but died the following day at the age of 54 of a heart attack caused by his injuries. Rory was 12 while Karina was 16.
In honor of Karina, Roy’s widow, Carmel Cryan, created the Roy Kinnear Trust in 1994, which was designed to improve the lives of young people with physical and mental disabilities.
A specialty home called Roy Kinnear House – built for six young adults with severe disabilities – was opened in 2000.
Karina lived there with others in a house 10 minutes’ drive from her mother’s house.
