Kanye West is known to walk the line between being famous and infamous due to both his achievements and reputation for controversial actions or crazy statements.

He’s a trending celebrity who’s constantly in the limelight and considered one of the best-selling male artists of all time. The rapper has definitely built a brand name for himself, though not one that is squeaky clean and spotless.

20 Crazy Facts about Kanye West

From ranting about the President (then supporting another) to storming the MTV VMAs stage, we rank Kanye West’s controversies from least to most shocking…

51. Kanye and Kim Cover Vogue

March 2014

It’s not everyday you see a former adult-tape star and controversial rapper gracing the cover of Vogue, is it? The fashion world had a mini breakdown when they saw Kanye West and Kim Kardashian appearing on the cover of Vogue magazine in 2014.

This is marked as one of Kim’s controversial moments and possibly the beginning of Kanye’s attempt at ruling the high fashion world. Despite the backlash, it’s safe to say the duo looked great. If editor-in-chief Anna Wintour didn’t have a problem with it, then why should we?

50. Kanye Rumored to Cheat on Kim with Jeffree Star

January 2021

2021 welcomed a bunch of Kimye rumors that the world just couldn’t shake off. First, news broke that he and Kim were getting a divorce, and then it was said the breakup was due to a cheating scandal – on Ye’s behalf! Rumor had it that Kanye was dating YouTuber, Jeffree Star during his relationship with Kim.

It didn’t help when Star deleted a tweet from 2011 replying to Kanye that said, “last night was so fun! xoxo.”

Nevertheless, the shocking claims were put to bed when Star finally denied the crazy rumors saying, “I’m single. I’m not sleeping with anyone… Me and Kanye have never hung out, and this whole thing is really funny…”

October 2021

Most stars let their stage names remain stage names, but that’s not the case for Kanye. Indeed, the trending star has decided to change his legal name to “Ye”. After making the request in August, a judge approved for Kanye Omari West to formally be referred to as just Ye in October 2021.

While Kanye cited “personal reasons” for this shocking decision, he stated in the past in a radio interview, “I believe ‘ye’ is the most commonly used word in the Bible, and in the Bible it means you. So I’m you, I’m us, it’s us.”

48. Kanye Jokes About Queen Elizabeth’s Death

September 2022

Kanye took his ‘jokes’ to new (awkward) heights in the autumn of 2022. Following Queen Elizabeth’s death in the U.K., the rapper took to his Instagram story to write, “London I know how you feel. I lost my queen too,” alluding to his divorce with Kim Kardashian.

It’s getting clearer by the day that Kanye has no shame…

47. Kanye Wears Bedazzled Flip-Flops

September 2022

There’s fashion…and then there’s this.

It was pretty obvious that the musician’s taste was outta whack when he attended the Burberry fashion show in London wearing bedazzled flip-flops…with socks. Let’s just say his footwear fashion has seriously become questionable…

46. Kanye Causes a Stir with ‘Eazy’ Lyrics

January 2022

Things haven’t been pretty between Kanye and his ex-wife Kim since their split. After finding out that Kim was dating Pete Davidson, the artist decided to comment on their relationship through a diss track titled Eazy. He rapped, “God saved me from that crash just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s a*s.”

That’s not all. Yeezy also threw shade at his ex-wife’s parenting skills by rapping, “I got love for the nannies, but real family is better.” It seems the star isn’t a fan of having “nannies” watch over his four children.

45. Kanye Brings Up Kim’s Tape

January 2022

Ye clearly has a thing for embarrassing his ex-wife. Following his divorce from Kim, the rapper made some claims about her controversial tape with Ray-J.

Although this is something the socialite has been trying to shake off from her image, Ye went ahead and fanned the flames by revealing that there was actually a second tape of Kim and Ray J and that he was the one to stop it from leaking.

Telling Hollywood Unlocked, Kanye said that he retrieved the tape from Ray-J’s laptop, to which Kim was extremely relieved. “She cried when she saw it. You know why she cried when she seen it on the laptop? Because it represents how much she’s been used,” the rapper said. “It represents how much people didn’t love her, and they just saw her as a commodity.”

Kim’s spokespeople denied there was ever a second tape. #AWKS

44. Kanye Fights with Kid Cudi

February 2022

Ye got upset with his “friend” and fellow rapper Kid Cudi over the Mr. Rager artist’s apparent friendship with Pete Davidson (who was dating West’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian). Shamelessly taking to Instagram, Ye wrote (and since deleted) that Cudi “will not be on Donda because he’s friends with you know who…”

In between an argument with Kid Cudi on Twitter, Kanye also shared a now-deleted Instagram post that featured a group photo with Cudi and Davidson’s face crossed out with the caption, “I JUST WANTED MY FRIEND TO HAVE MY BACK THE KNIFE JUST GOES IN DEEPER”.

43. Kanye Fights With Kim

February 2022

Kimye’s divorce didn’t go down too well. The rapper decided to attack his ex-wife in a series of Tweets, accusing her of bad parenting for allowing their eight-year-old daughter North on TikTok. “SINCE THIS IS MY FIRST DIVORCE I NEED TO KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO ABOUT MY DAUGHTER BEING PUT ON TIK TOK AGAINST MY WILL?” Kanye wrote on Instagram.

When Kim replied to West’s “hurtful” comments slamming his “constant attacks” on her and naming herself “the main provider and caregiver for their [our] children”, Ye exploded on Instagram by accusing Kim of “kidnapping” their daughter Chicago after he wasn’t invited to her 4th birthday.

He wrote, “What do you mean by main provider ? America saw you try to kid nap my daughter on her birthday by not providing the address. You put security on me inside of the house to play with my son then accused me of stealing I had to take a drug test after Chicago’s party cause you accused me of being on drugs …”

42. Kanye Attacks Kim, Then Apologizes

September 2022

It’s hardly news when Kimye are feuding. Their ongoing spat since divorcing has become tiresome by now, but that hasn’t stopped it from ranking as one of Kanye’s most controversial moves.

When the artist ranted on Instagram about what school he wants his kids to go to, he went on to share a conversation with Kim, where she wrote, “please stop”. Ye responded, “No. We need to talk in person. You don’t have say so of where the kids go to school. Why you get say say. Cause you half white?”

Following his public outburst, Kanye then apologized to Kim on Good Morning America, saying, “This is the mother of my children, and I apologize for any stress that I have caused…”

41. Kanye Targets Billie Eilish

February 2022

It’s not the first time Ye has bashed a celebrity in public. It’s kinda his favorite thing to do…

Another Kanye feud to take the world by storm was with none other than Billie Eilish. The rapper tried to ‘out’ the singer by taking to Instagram and asking her to “apologize” to Travis Scott.

Why, you may ask? Billie Eilish stopped her Atlanta show after realizing that a fan was struggling to breathe and reportedly told the crowd, “I wait for people to be OK until I keep going.”

Some have interpreted this as a dig towards Travis Scott whose Astroworld show in 2021 went on for 37 minutes after the event was considered a “mass casualty event” and left 10 people dead.

Not only did Ye ask Eilish to apologize for this comment, he also added that Travis Scott would be joining him at Coachella, despite the fact that Travis was dropped from the festival’s lineup following the Astroworld tragedy.

40. Kanye Attacks Pete Davidson

February 2022

Just when we thought his Eazy lyrics marked the end of the Kanye vs. Pete debacle, the Donda artist went ahead and launched a verbal attack on Davidson on social media.

From posting a meme showing a Marvel–style “Team Ye” versus “Team Pete” setup, and captioning it, “THE INTERNET HAS STILL NOT FOUND A DECENT PICTURE OF SKETE,” to publicly calling Pete a “di**head”, the rapper did not hold back during his rants.

Kanye later shared screenshots of messages from Pete which wrote, “I’d never get [in the] way of your children,” but Ye captioned the snap, “NO YOU WILL NEVER MEET MY CHILDREN.”

Ye then shared more posts calling Pete “garbage” and “trash” and ranted, “IF YOU SEE SKETE IN REAL LIFE SCREAM AT YHE LOOSER AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS AND SAY KIMYE FOREVER.”

He also shared screenshots of texts from Kim telling him he was “creating a dangerous and scary environment” for Davidson with his actions.

Kanye responded by sharing an Instagram image captioned, ‘UPON MY WIFE’S REQUEST PLEASE NOBODY DO ANYTHING PHYSICAL TO SKETE IM GOING TO HANDLE THE SITUATION MYSELF.’

39. Kanye Accuses Kris Jenner of Forcing Kim & Kylie Into Playboy

September 2022

It’s not the first time Ye has attacked his former mother-in-law and accused her of forcing Kim and Kylie into Playboy.

This time round, Kanye shared an Instagram post of his daughters captioned, “Don’t let Kris make you do Hollywood is a giant brothel Pornography destroyed my family I deal with addiction instagram promotes it Not gonna let it happen to Northy and Chicago”.

When Kris allegedly asked Kanye to stop mentioning her name, he responded saying, “Y’all don’t have so so over my black children and where they go to school. They will not do playboy and sex tapes. Tell your Clinton friends to come get me. I’m here.” LOL?

38. Kanye Snatches Photographer’s Phone

January 2023

Kanye became a suspect in a battery investigation after he grabbed a photographer’s (or possibly fan’s) phone and slammed it to the ground. While Ye’s actions have been condemned, it’s fair to say that this incident was certainly provoked.

When Ye was on his way to see his children, he was ambushed by photographers. One of them had a camera in his face, even though Kanye was telling her to stop recording, which resulted in him grabbing and throwing the woman’s phone onto the street. It’s unclear whether this woman was a fan or a photographer.

37. Kanye Sets Himself on Fire

August 2021

We all know Kanye likes the wow factor. During a listening party for his album Donda, Ye set himself ablaze, whilst walking out of a replica of his childhood home.

The star was wearing protective gear and the fire was quickly wiped out, but it didn’t stop us from wondering WTF made Kanye do it. We guess it’s something he would call “art”.

36. Kanye Asks Mark Zuckerberg for $1 Billion

February 2016

Mr. West truly has no shame in disclosing his personal finances. After admitting that he was $53 million in debt, Kanye announced that he was in need of more money to invest in his creative projects.

He took it so far, that he started campaigning for Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg to invest $1 billion in him. This certainly goes down as one of Kanye’s crazy moments thus far.

35. Kanye Attacks Wiz Khalifa

January 2016

Ye is no stranger to Twitter beef! If you follow him, we’re sure your timeline has been flooded with his ranting tweets for days on end. One of his most infamous celebrity fights was with Wiz Khalifa in 2016.

When Kanye announced that he wanted to name his album “Waves,” Wiz accused him of not showing respect to Max B for popularizing “wave” and “wavy” in rap.

This led to a whole Twitter tirade with Kanye eventually saying that he “owns” Wiz’s child (may we remind you that Wiz has a son with Kanye’s ex, Amber Rose).

34. Kanye Blasts Kardashian/Jenner Men

September 2022

Things got more heated when Ye continued his Instagram rampage in September 2021, this time targeting the ex-partners of the Kardashian/Jenner gang.

It’s bad enough these men are said to be under a Kardashian Curse, now, Kanye has referred to himself and the other men (Tristan Thompson, Travis Scott, Scott Disick) as “c*m doners.”

On Instagram, Kanye wrote, “Calling my fellow c*m doners We in this 2gthr.”

33. Kanye Rants About Losing the VMAs

October 2007

For someone who continues to dismiss awards, Kanye is always engaged with them and easily offended. Back in 2007, the rapper was outraged that he lost all five of the awards he was nominated for and that he hadn’t been asked to play on the main stage like Justin Timberlake or Britney Spears.

His response? Throwing a fit backstage and threatening to never attend the MTV VMAs ever again. As we all know, he did not hold to that threat, although Taylor Swift probably wished he did.

32. Kanye Says His Daughter “Ripped the Couches”

December 2023

In late 2023, during a furious rant in Las Vegas, Ye screamed, “My daughter ripped up the mother f**king couches in the house to be able to be with me right now.”

North West had attended her dad’s listening party, where he caused some controversy by wearing a black KKK style hood and rapping what many have dubbed offensive anti-Semitic lyrics (more on that later).

We guess this raises questions about parenting and discipline in the Kardashian/West family…

31. Kanye Compares Himself to Jesus

February 2006

It seems that “Yeezus”, as he named his sixth album, does feel prosecuted. The rapper posed for Rolling Stone with a crown of thorns and fake blood, claiming that he can make a direct comparison between himself and Jesus.

Why? Because he had to “fight for recognition” and “suffer for his success”. Not quite the same. And yet, he does not feel the same love and devotion. Kanye stated that people look at him like he’s Hitler when he walks down the street.

30. Kanye Offends a Guy in a Wheelchair

September 2014

When Kanye told fans at a concert in Sydney to get on their feet, he expected everyone to do it – including a person in a wheelchair who couldn’t physically comply with the rapper’s demands. Kanye wasn’t thrilled at all and said that he couldn’t sing until everyone stood up.

As for the person in the wheelchair? To quote “OK, well, we gotta wait then.” That would be a long time waiting, yet the rapper made it a point to complain how “unbelievable” it is that he had to pause for so long. The crowd booed. Eventually, Kanye said it was okay that the fan wasn’t standing up.

29. Kanye Jokes with Beck

February 2015

The rapper wasn’t done with his habit of rushing the stage in defense of Beyoncé. After his 2009 incident with Taylor Swift (more on that later), Kanye seemed to disagree that Beck’s Morning Phase deserved the Album of the Year award in 2015.

For a while, it seemed like a joke. Then it wasn’t. Eventually, the rapper tried to play it off as a joke and apologized a few weeks later on Twitter. As he put it, “It was a joke – like the Grammy’s themselves”.

28. Kanye ‘Buries’ Pete Davidson in Video

March 2022

Everyone thought Kanye had officially lost his mind when he released the music video for his song Eazy. Not only did the lyrics cuss Pete Davidson (as mentioned earlier), but the visuals ridiculed the comedian even further.

Indeed, the clip saw Kanye bury Pete Davidson after kidnapping him and placing a bag over his head. The music clip ended with the text, “everyone lives happily ever after…except for Skete you know who”. It finally ended with “jk he’s fine”.

“Joke”, Kanye? Really?

27. Kanye Gets Caught in the Act

September 2023

Some may say it’s no big deal, but not according to Italians! Kanye and his wife Bianca Censori have been banned for life by a Venetian boat rental company after they were spotted earlier in the month getting down and dirty.

We don’t have to spell it out for you. Just check out these embarrassing snaps and you’ll get the picture. We have a feeling Ye doesn’t care though.

26. Kanye Bashes Taylor Swift

February 2016

Like things weren’t bad enough already between them, Kanye and Taylor’s infamous feud was further ignited when he released his song Famous, and shamelessly called Taylor a “b***h”.

Swift’s fans and other celebrities instantly became outraged, and there was no shortage of people who found Kanye’s song tasteless. However, the rapper claimed that he’d had his wife’s blessings for the lyrics and Swift’s as well. He tweeted that the female artist in question found it funny (this was later denied by Taylor herself).

25. Kanye Says Kim Cheated on Him

December 2022

We all know Kim and Kanye’s divorce hasn’t been pretty. And it all blew up once more when Ye became the number one trend on Twitter for sending out a tweet accusing Kim of cheating on him with Chris Paul.

The outrageous tweet which came following his anti-Semitic comments on InfoWars (more on that below) read, “Let’s break one last window before we get outta here I caught this guy with Kim Good night.”

24. Kanye Supports Trump, Bashes Beyonce & Jay-Z

November 2016

Kanye shocked his fans when he admitted that he would have voted for Donald Trump had he taken part in the Presidential Election in 2016. Even though Kanye was booed after announcing he was Team Donald, the rapper showed no fear a few nights later.

He launched a verbal attack on Jay-Z and Beyoncé for over 20 minutes during his show in Sacramento, before calling it quits and walking off stage. Having only performed three songs, the crowd were rightfully given a refund for their tickets.

This wasn’t the first time Kanye let off steam, but it seems this time round, the artist had gone too far, and it’d taken a toll on his mental health. Kanye was later hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation and remained there during Thanksgiving weekend.

23. Kanye Admits He is Pro-Life

October 2022

In a shocking tell-all interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight, Kanye expressed his stance on anti-abortion by wearing a picture of an ultrasound emblazoned around his neck. “It’s a photograph of a baby’s ultrasound,” he explained to Tucker Carlson. “It just represents life. I’m pro-life.”

Ye went on to explain his reasons for being pro-life by saying,

“I don’t care about people’s responses, but I care about the fact that there are more Black babies being aborted than born in New York City at this point. That 50% of Black death in America is abortion. So I really don’t care about people’s response to that. I perform for an audience of one and that is God.”

22. Kanye Meets Trump

December 2016

2016 truly was a roller-coaster year for Kanye. Everyone thought they were seeing things when he was photographed entering the Trump Tower to have a meeting with the then-U.S. president.

While Kanye revealed that he visited Trump to discuss “bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago”, many saw this as Trump’s attempt to appeal to the black community. Kanye then received a lot of backlash for ignoring Trump’s supposed motives.

21. Kanye Announces he’s Running for President

August 2015

In August 2015, the rapper announced that he would be running for president in 2020. People were excited to hear his presidential speeches and possibly see Kim Kardashian as America’s First Lady. No one knew what would happen, but what we did know is that the world was getting crazier by the minute.

20. Kanye Runs for President

July 2020

Just when everyone put Kanye’s outrageous announcement behind them, the rapper made an explosive reveal on July 4th 2020 that he was indeed running for president that year. Even Elon Musk said he had Ye’s “full support”. After several rallies however, Kanye’s campaign was unsuccessful, garnering just 0.04% of votes nationally.

19. Kanye Compares Himself to Jesus and Hitler

December 2023

He’s compared himself to Jesus before, and he’s now a regular stan for Hitler. But in late 2023, the rapper decided to draw a parallel between the two – and himself. During his Las Vegas rant, Ye exclaimed, “Jesus Christ, Hitler, Ye! Sponsor that!!!”

18. Kanye Criticizes Harriet Tubman

July 2020

During one of his rallies in 2020, Kanye caused a commotion by ranting about the prestigious historical figure, Harriet Tubman. Tubman was an African American woman who escaped slavery, helped enslaved Black men and women travel to freedom and fought for the Union during the Civil War.

While many admire her experiences, Kanye shut them down during his run as president, claiming Tubamn “never actually freed the slaves, she just had them work for other white people.”

17. Kanye Turns on His Family

July 2020

Following his embarrassing rally rant, Kanye published an array of tweets against his (then) wife, Kim and mother-in-law, Kris Jenner.

“Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughters life yesterday,” he tweeted.

As mentioned below, Kanye revealed that Kim wanted to have an abortion when she was pregnant with North West. Kanye later attacked another member of the Kardashian family, Kris, by saying that Kim would never force North’s career choices like she did to Kim – a.k.a. that Playboy shoot. “I put my life on my God that North’s mom would never photograph her doing playboy and that’s on God.”

He also wasn’t shy in comparing Kris to North Korea’s authoritarian leader Kim Jong Un, naming her “Kris Jong-Un”.

16. Kanye Talks Abortion, Breaks Down

July 2020

During the same presidential rally, Kanye exhibited a breakdown when he brought up the subject of abortion. The artist told crowds how his father wanted to abort him, but his mother chose to save him.

At the mention of his late mother, Kanye burst out in tears and sobbed before he continued his rant claiming that he “almost killed his [my] daughter”. In a speech that clearly humiliated his wife, Kanye revealed that Kim considered not having North when she was pregnant with her in 2013.

15. Kanye Invites DaBaby, Marilyn Manson on Stage

August 2021

If Kanye has one way of getting attention, it’s by associating himself with controversial people. Right when Marilyn Manson and DaBaby were facing respective sexual assault and anti-gay allegations against them, Kanye decided to bring them out on stage with him during the listening event for his album Donda.

14. Kanye Claims Cosby is Innocent

February 2016

Many turned against Kanye when he defended Bill Cosby in February 2016. With a public opinion widely against the criminal actor, Kanye stupidly but bravely tweeted, “BILL COSBY INNOCENT !!!!!!!!!!” His tweet received an onslaught of responses expressing disappointment, shock and disgust.

13. Kanye’s ‘Famous’ Music Video

June 2016

Kanye got the people talking when he released his shocking and scandalous music video for Famous. The controversial clip featured wax figurines of unclothed celebs sleeping in bed together, including George Bush, Anna Wintour, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Kim Kardashian, Amber Rose, Taylor Swift, Ray J, Caitlyn Jenner, Bill Cosby and Kanye himself.

Although Kanye claimed the video was “artistic”, it didn’t stop his haters from causing a stir and expressing outrage. In fact, the visual was so full of controversy that Taylor Swift’s team considered filing a lawsuit against him.

12. Kanye Defends Trump

October 2022

At one point, it was no secret that Kanye was Trump’s biggest fan-boy. The rapper constantly showed his support for the former controversial president back when he was being elected.

Years down the line, Ye came to Trump’s defense once more, calling him “my boy”, and claiming that “Trump’s the s**t” in an interview with Fox News. What’s more, Kanye went on to say that “Trump wanted nothing but the best for this country.”

11. Kanye Defends R. Kelly

January 2019

Kanye didn’t get off to a good start in early 2019 when he publicly defended R. Kelly. Despite the widespread condemnation of the singer following the release of the documentary, Surviving R Kelly, Ye outrageously claimed that fans should continue to listen to his music and that we should separate the art from the artist.

“They just gonna pull up full documentaries on him, then they gonna come with the Michael (Jackson) documentary. We can all enjoy all their music all we want. I thought I wasn’t going to go there today. If we’re gonna tear down artists, let’s go ahead and take (Leonardo) da Vinci out the Lourve while we’re at it. Let’s take down all the art.”

Kim quickly took to Twitter to defend her husband by saying his words were taken out of context.

10. Kanye Has an Outburst on President Bush

September 2005

Kanye left everyone speechless when he went off-script during a live TV fundraiser for the victims of Hurricane Katrina back in 2006. While Mike Myers stared blankly at the camera, Kanye went on to rant about the media’s portrayal of Katrina’s black victims and ended his outburst by bashing the then-president.

In what was one of his most shocking moments, Kanye said, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.” The show’s producer cut him off immediately and moved on to next presenter. Talk about AWKWARD!

9. Kanye Wears a MAGA Hat

April 2018

It was bad enough when Kanye met the detested President in his Trump Tower in December 2016, but Kanye made his support for Donald Trump loud and clear when he posted a photo of himself wearing a Make America Great Again hat in April 2018.

After getting the hat signed by the president himself, Kanye went on to tweet that Trump was his “brother”. His support for the president led to many turning their backs on Ye. How could he go from bashing George Bush in 2006 to supporting Trump in 2018?!

8. Kanye Interrupts Taylor’s VMAs Speech

September, 2009

Everyone would agree that one of Kanye’s craziest and most controversial moments ever occurred at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

The Life of Pablo rapper rushed the stage in protest to Taylor Swift winning the Best Female Video for You Belong With Me. Kanye famously got on the stage during Swift’s acceptance speech, ranting and protesting that Beyoncé’s Single Ladies should’ve won.

The then-teen stated that she had been “excited at first” to see the rapper on stage with her, but then she just ended up “hurt” by the intrusion and offense.

7. Kanye Makes False Claim About George Floyd’s Death

If this doesn’t raise an eyebrow, nothing will. During his appearance on Drinks Champs podcast (which has now been pulled from YouTube), Kanye made a monstrous claim that George Floyd died from a Fentanyl overdose instead of police brutality.

Discussing the victim who was murdered by the cop Derek Chauvin in May 2020, as well as the Candace Owens documentary The Greatest Lie Ever Sold: George Floyd and the Rise of BLM, Kanye said,

“They hit him with the fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that. They said he screamed for his mama; mama was his girlfriend. It’s in the documentary.”

George Floyd’s family considered suing Kanye West following his atrocious comments.

6. Kanye Wears a KKK-Inspired Hood

December 2023

During his Vultures album listening party in Miami, Kanye wore a black KKK-inspired hood. Of course, this is nothing new for the controversial artist. Ye first wore such a piece in 2013 in his Black Skinhead music video.

This time, though, the outfit hit a nerve for many, as during this listening party, Kanye also rapped controversial lyrics including, “How am I anti-Semitic? I just f**ked a Jewish b****.”

5. Kanye Supports “White Lives Matter”

October 2022

Just when we thought Kanye’s support for Trump was outrageous, he took everyone by surprise when he turned up at his Yeezy SZN 9 fashion show in Paris wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt.

The rapper was joined by Conservative commentator Candace Owens, who wore a matching shirt that supported the white supremacist phrase (which is a racist response to the Black Lives Matter movement).

If this isn’t a ridiculous cry for attention, we don’t know what is…

4. Kanye Writes Anti-Semitic Tweet

October 2022

You know Kanye has done something bad when he gets removed off Instagram and Twitter. Following the backlash he received for wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt, Kanye went on one of his usual rants.

It started when he shared a text conversation with Diddy. When Diddy urged Kanye to end his shenanigans, Ye replied, “This ain’t a game Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me. I told you this was war. Now gone get you some business.”

When Instagram banned Kanye for sharing these words, he took to Twitter to write, “When I wake up I’m going death [sic] con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also. You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”

This outrageous tweet obviously got Ye banned on Twitter.

3. Kanye says Slavery was a “Choice”

May 2018

In mid-2018, it seemed as though Kanye had hit the last straw. We can only take so much of what he says until he preaches something completely crazy and unforgivable. In May, the rapper done an interview with TMZ where he shared his thoughts on several controversial topics including free thought and slavery:

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years? That sounds like a choice. You were there for 400 years, and it is all of y’all?”

After complete backlash from celebrities and several others around the world, Kanye took to Twitter to express what he really meant. Can you forgive Ye for saying these things?

2. Kanye Shares Swastika Star of David Symbol

December 2022

Twitter suspended Kanye’s account once more after he appallingly shared an image of a swastika intertwined with a Star of David. The anti-Semitic image featured the caption “YE24 LOVE EVERYONE #LOVESPEECH,” seemingly promoting his presidential run in 2024.

1. Kanye Praises Hitler and Nazis

December 2022

Kanye has shared his anti-Semitic beliefs before, but it was his interview with Alex Jones on InfoWars that truly shocked and disgusted the world, sparking another round of backlash. Wearing a mask and clearly sounding nonsensical, the rapper denounced Nazis and praised Adolf Hitler in the interview.

Admitting he “likes Hitler”, Kanye also said, “I see good things about Hitler”, later adding, “Every human being has value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler.” Ye added, “They did good things too, we are gonna stop dissing the Nazis”.

#WTF

Whether he’s loved or hated, Kanye West is undoubtedly one of the most controversial celebrities of our generation and his crazy antics don’t seem to be coming to an end any time soon.

We’re sure there will be more outbursts and shocking moments to come. We’ll keep you updated…
