What travelers are saying
- TCPERTHWAPerth, Australia14 contributionsOn a very wet day we visited this museum. From underneath our umbrellas we enjoyed wandering around the grounds. The art ranged from whimical to challenging and confronting, and some was just odd. The whole family found something to enjoy. The location was stunning with clouds rolling across the mountains and thunder booming in the distance. We stayed for a couple of hours.Written April 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- R ASydney, Australia12 contributionsPerfect for solo travellers, couples or families. We took the Yokohama Air Cabin ( cable car) and explored the Shinko District side. This side has something for everyone. Walk through Hammerhead Park (it’s a shopping centre) and finish your visit with an awesome view of the Port of Yokohama.Written February 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brando62Saint Paul, MN340 contributionsVery easy to visit as an English speaker. From Yokohama or Tokyo take the subway to the electric train station and get off at the Kamakura station a short 3/4 mile walk up the Main Street to the temple grounds.
Reasonable admission and access to inside the Buddha.Written April 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The first two seemed like tourist traps focused on scamming you out of $ for wishes. This temple, however, was outstanding. The setting was amazing and there was a lot of variety to the buildings and various statues. They even had statutes built in to the walls of a cave. Unlike the other two temples, this one was very tranquil and peaceful.
Highly recommended.Written March 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Fuji after disembarking from the cable car. The ropeway ride itself is mildly exciting, and passes over steaming sulpher vents on the way to the top. If the weather is cloudy, however, I would strongly recommend to skip the cablecar to the top; you won't see anything to warrant the expense.Written April 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - R ASydney, Australia12 contributionsRecommended for solo travellers, couples and families. This is a charming Chinatown, super clean, packed with take-away shops and restaurants. We visited between 2-4 pm and it wasn’t very busy. Rest menus have photos but not text in English.Written February 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bcheongShanghai, China26,738 contributionsWanted to see mt fuji and chose this lake (1 of 5 fuji lakes)
Took a 30 min shinkansen ride from Tokyo station and then a 1 hr taxi ride (USD75 one way) from Odawara station
Then took what looks like a pirate ship for a quick 25 min pitstop on the lake. A round trip is about 1.5 hrs which we didn’t choose. We took business class which has a sheltered cabin plus private deck area
Wasn’t breathtaking and maybe not worth the cab ride hereWritten February 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The garden is spectacular, the buildings are amazing, and there are turtles and koi fish swimming around in the pond. What more can you ask for?Written October 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

After a short wait, one of the two Elevators whisks you to the top in under 2 minutes.
There are 4-5 viewing sections with plenty of room for everyone.
Snacks, ice cream and beverages/ alcohol are available at the snack counter. A small gift store at the end.
Another short wait for the ride down.
Huge shopping mall at the base of the building.

- Raintree_ThailandBangkok, Thailand3,910 contributionsUnfortunately, as our tour was running late, we were only able to see the shrine and the torii gate from the boat. The setting, with huge trees, looks beautiful though.Written April 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
