Who is starring in the upcoming Warner Bros. production Just Mercy, and what else have they been in? Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, whose other credits include The Glass Castle and the festival gem Short Term 12, the film depicts the true story of Civil Rights defense attorney Bryan Stevenson working to free a wrongly convicted death row prisoner.

On November 1, 1986, 18-year-old Ronda Morrison was murdered at a cleaners in Monroeville, Alabama. Though Walter McMillian (Jamie Foxx) was at a church fish fry event at the time of the shooting, not to mention surrounded by dozens of witnesses (one of which was a police officer), he was quickly arrested, convicted, and sentenced to execution for the crime. Just Mercy embarks on McMillian's and Stevenson's collaborative quest for lawful justice and absolution.

Following the film's premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, it garnered awards buzz for its pair of lead actors. Recently however, much of the conversation has been planted solely on Jamie Foxx's performance, as the Django: Unchained and Ray star has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award. With that said, here's everyone else who's appearing alongside Foxx in this legal and inspirational drama.

Just Mercy's Main Cast

Brie Larson as Eva Ansley: A member of the community who helped lead Stevenson towards McMillian's case. Brie Larson is an Oscar-winning actress most known for her role as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
