Junior Wells, Buddy Guy, and Otis Spann? Fred Below, too? Oh, man! Even if it's a bit lacking in variety, this solid record can rest easy on the shoulders of the legends involved. I wouldn't put it at the top of the list for any of these men, but I'd spend my hard earned money on Southside Blues Jam any day of the week.

One of the best Chicago Blues album from early 70s. A real Blues Jam! Sometimes there are a few mistake, but it's really live! Junior sings better than ever, and here is the wonderful Otis Spann on piano. Maybe this was his last jam, before his ultimate death.
Here's again Junior's old friend, Buddy Guy, but he's a little bit low-key
Louis Myers on guitars, Earnest Johnson on bass and Fred Below on drums, was there any better rhtyhm section than this?
A very good start with a slow version of "Stop Breaking Down". And the continue is more better. All tracks are fantastic, "I Could Have Had Religion" a good slow one, Dixon's "I Just Want to Make Love to You", the 7-minute "Baby Send Me Your Love" and "Blues for Mayor Daley". "You Say You Love Me" is very good too, but it stops at 3:15.
The best track without a doubt the closing "Trouble Don't Last Always" featuring Buddy on vocals and his guitar playing is fabulous.
