Neighbourhood: Juhu
Home to the iconic Juhu Beach, acclaimed Prithvi Theatre & ISKCON Temple, this breezy sea-facing neighbourhood is one of the city’s jewels, studded with homes of Bollywood celebrities, designer boutiques, swanky sea-facing restaurants, hip pubs & discotheques, a range of hotels along the shore suiting every budget, sea-food specialty restaurants and a variety of street food like Pav Bhaji, Bhel Puri and Pani Puri at the beach. - BalkrishnaShroffMumbai, India20,937 contributionsWorth visiting !!After a long time I visited Juhu Beach in spite of staying few km away. It's one of the most popular tourist attraction in Mumbai. For any tourists without seeing Gateway of India and Juhu Beach, the tour is incomplete. It's a six km long beach from one end to another with soft sand. The main beach in the centre is the most popular. It has got many street food stalls and some water sports facilities. As you go north side it becomes quite. A lot of people staying nearby come here for walk/jogging. On weekends it is very crowded due to lot of family crowd. The Sunday mornigs are very popular with youngsters who love to play cricket on the beach. Thanks to authorities it is cleaned every morning. The public is not allowed after 12 midnight.Visited April 2024Travelled soloWritten 8 April 2024

One of my Sunday visit places apart from Aksa and Marine drive. Water is horrible and lots of people there. Very dangerous during high tides as water levels rise quickly. Good place to observe people.

I had heard so much about this beach but it was gross. So dirty, overcrowded and people trying to sell you anything and everything from the kitchen sink! You could not really appreciate the views. I would not go into the water unless you want to get sick.

Good in parts and not-so-good in parts, Juhu beach combines a vibrant ambience, a plethora of eateries and a chance to stroll alongside the sea with a poorly maintained beach.

Why is this Beach so dirty ?
PhillipSA101

Good day, there are lots of debris/rubbish washing up on the beach on a daily basis. Also, there are some pipes from the city spilling water or sewerage on the beach or in the water and it washes right back onto the beach. Very little people actually getting their feet wet even and we were warned by some local people not to even try that. There is quite a long stretch of beach and it is well lighted and police present on busy days/nights and this stretch is ideal for walking. Just don't expect a pristine white beach.
Does Juhu BEach have a pay and park facility
