An old Acura NSX was found abandoned in the United States. This rare Japanese sports car is highly sought after by collectors.

This Acura NSX has come a long way. Recently found at the bottom of a garage in the United States, this old car inevitably awakens memories of the 1990s. It is in fact at the motor show in Chicago 1990 that this car saw the light of day. Today, this two-seater sports car only resembles a car from yesteryear, even a dusty one. However, you have to realize that it was a technological marvel in the 90’s.
In any case, this is the way in which its creator presented it in 1990. Although reserved for American market, it is in reality a production of the Japanese manufacturer Honda. Created to compete with brands such as Porsche, it became one of the most iconic sports cars of the 1990s in the United States.

A rare white Acura NSX from the 1990s

These days, the Acura NSX is just a memory for many people. However, there are still a few models in circulation (not to mention the modern NSX series). One of them was recently found abandoned in a garage. The car had been parked there for about thirty years. And everyone seemed to have forgotten her a long time ago.
However, its odometer shows more than 3,000 kilometers, which indicates that it was used intensively during its first years of life. This model was acquired in 1992 in Pennsylvania by an Acura NSX enthusiast. However, she quickly encountered difficulties, since she was the victim of a road accident which left her with significant damage.
The damage would have been so severe that the mechanic who took care of it would have tried to repaint it white. This is the reason why this example is not dyed red, unlike the classic Acura NSX. After repairing it, its owner stored it in his garage while waiting for the car to gain enough value.

A Japanese car forgotten until its rediscovery in 2024

The Acura NSX being a rare car, its owner thought he could sell it at an auction. His strategy was certainly good, given the price some NSXs are currently trading at. But for some unknown reason, he did not complete his project. Her Japanese sportswoman could have been completely forgotten. But a friend of the owner decided to take it out of his garage.
Today, this example of Acura NSX can finally see the light of day again and, potentially, can be used on the road again. Besides, its tires Yokohoma original are still in place. If sold, the owner can probably reap a nice sum. During the most recent auctions, these sports cars fetch several tens of thousands of euros. Some copies even went for more than 100,000 euros.
