Juanita Hall, 97, Kentland, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born Oct. 4, 1924, in Kentland, to the late Alfred G. and Lola (Walker) Armold and was a 1942 graduate of Kentland High School. Juanita's marriage of 60 years was to Donald W. Hall on March 4, 1943, in New Brunswick, N.J.; he preceded her in death in August of 2003.
Mrs. Hall worked for the Newton County Clerks Office from 1962 - 1986, serving two terms as Clerk in 1977 and 1984.
Juanita was a member of Covenant Church of Kentland and was the Past President of the Kentland Jr. Women's Club and Newton County Republican Women's Club.
She enjoyed knitting, crafts, crocheting and reading. Most of all, Juanita enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, John (Candy) Hall, Lafayette, Wayne (Jane) Hall, Kentland, Judy (Bud) King, Kentland, Nancy (Donald) Hittle, West Lafayette and Elizabeth Thompson, Crown Point; a sister, Elizabeth Farrell, Bradenton, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Preceding her in death with her parents and husband is a son-in-law, Jack Thompson; a great-grandson, Brenton Hittle; and a sister, Mary Plunkett.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at noon CST Wednesday, Nov. 17 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland.
Interment to follow in Fairlawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Legion Post #23 of Kentland.
