Fox News local news anchor Feven Kiflegiorgis was found passed out naked at the wheel of her Audi - and stumbled from her car reeking of alcohol after police showed up. 

Kiflegiorgis, the weekday morning anchor on Fox 5 Las Vegas, told officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department she couldn't remember how she got there.

According to charging documents, police smelled alcohol on her, but she refused to allow them to take a blood test during the March 20 stop at 7:30 a.m., the Las Vegas Review Journal reported. 

Her anchor shift runs from 4 am to 7 am each weekday. She was stopped on a Saturday.

Police said she was at on a street called Matthew Avenue, near Paradise Road, which appears to be a residential area. 

Kiflegiorgis was charged with reckless driving with a disregard for the safety of a person or property.

She was sentenced last Wednesday to a $1,000 fine and will have to also complete driving school. 

'Many of you have noticed I've been off air for a few weeks,' Kiflegiorgis, known as as Feven Kay, said in a statement on Fox 5 last week.

'As I move forward, I want you to know I have learned from this and I will continue learning.'

Kiflegiorgis didn't immediately return a request for comment from DailyMail.com. 

Feven Kay was born in Ethiopia and grew up in California, where she graduated from Bakersfield College in 2005.

She completed a Bachelor of Arts in journalism at California State University-Northridge in 2013 and has been working at Fox 5 since 2018 as a news anchor and reporter.  Her age isn't clear.

According to her biography on the Fox 5 site, she's dedicated to being a 'voice for the voiceless,' she says.

'Outside of work Feven enjoys traveling, attending concerts, spending time with family and friends, and doing anything that involves laughing until her stomach hurts,' the bio says. 

Kiflegiorgis is still scheduled to host Las Vegas Strip performer David Perrico's Disney show in the city on Sunday.

After her arrest was publicized, Perrico backed Kiflegiorgis to continue in her role hosting his Perrico's Pop Strings Orchestra this weekend. 

'Feven is a total pro, has my full support,' Perrico said on Wednesday. 

'I am looking forward to her hosting the Disney concert.'
