Sudeikis exaggerated Biden's friendliness towards McCain, but some exaggeration is expected in comedy. And Biden had indeed made similar remarks despite how McCain/Palin were the opponents, so at least it was grounded in SOME reality.

My favorites were when he gave them a math problem and told them to show the work; when it cut back and he said it was 1930 something; then the Mr. Rogers part. I thought it was great.

about Carrey doing Biden last week, too.

That's all we need is a misrepresentation of Biden now.

Anyone doing trump the treasonous asshole?

I always remember how Carrey Got Adam Schiff WRONG.. portraying him as "emasculated". Stupid.

Woody Harrelson did it best but the SNL cast member who was playing that part did it well too. I am a sometimes Carrey fan, I don't like much of what he does, he's just inappropriate here.

I hope they find someone else if they plan to continue doing skits featuring Biden.

I'm not really thrilled with Maya Rudolph as Sen. Harris either.

I'm glad to hear it from others so I won't bother watching it. I will watch the Weekend News part, though.

boundsries as did Robin Williams; add Margaret Cho, Tiffinany Haddish [have you seen her movies damn hilarious] to list of brazen comedians/actors--damn they are funny as hell!

Carey's outrageous facial exressions remind me of JerryLlewis only 100x more extreme--comedy is an art. His portrayal of Biden is spot on, mannerisms, expressions grant it to the extreme-- that's ehat you get with Jm Carey. I'd like to see him impersonate odious orange man in WH--damn that would be hillarious!
i
SNL has many guest actors, caveats/skits that I don't particularly like or agree with--yet, find show entertaining.

This is absolutely absurd, and unAmerican. "looked into?" Even Nixon appeared on Laugh In as himself.

"Nothing funny about tired 'Saturday Night Live' on Fake News NBC!" the president tweeted. "Question is, how do the Networks get away with these total Republican hit jobs without retribution? Likewise for many other shows? Very unfair and should be looked into. This is the real Collusion!"

"THE RIGGED AND CORRUPT MEDIA IS THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE!" he added minutes later.

I just got up and hadn't heard about this tweet yet.

Jim Carrey but I don’t care for his Biden impression. Trump and Fox have been claiming Biden has dementia and portraying Biden as senile is giving them support.

I’ve also never liked Baldwin as Trump. There are SNL cast members who could probably do a kick ass impersonation of him but in going with Baldwin and Carrey , SNL is more interested in the star power than in actually letting their cast members get exposure.

I think it's as fresh as any time in the past. Weekend update is far better, and the diverse cast is the most talented I've seen in decades. But that figures because the show is a springboard to fame, so the casting call is loaded with ringers these days.

SNL was always hit or miss, even in the good old days. Memories fade the bad out over time. That's why the oldie reruns that NBC airs earlier are only an hour long.

I'd give it another chance with an open mind.

It was just me.

SNL is misleading on Biden and spinning it all wrong. I thought last weeks episode was really off the mark making Biden look bad.

The only thing I can think is that these are younger writers that politically dislike both candidates. And they actually see Biden the way he is being portrayed.

Haven’t seen last nights episode and now I’m afraid to.

They need to back off cause this is who we have as our candidate and I do worry about voters just not bothering to vote.

was stunt casting, no wonder it’s a train wreck. The best political satire must have a kernel of truth to it. That’s why Bladwin as Trump works and Carrey as Biden doesn’t. Carrey’s portrayal of Biden has no truth in it. It doesn’t resemble Biden in any realistic way. It’s just a retread of old Carrey characters.
