Who Plays Nurse Oraetta Mayflower in Fargo Season 4?
That scene-stealing nurse with a serious pill problem is played by none other than Jessie Buckley. Oraetta Mayflower first appeared in the public hospital that treated Josto Fadda’s (Jason Schwartzman) Italian mobster father. Because of prejudice against Italians, Donatello Fadda (Tomasso Ragno) was refused treatment at a nicer private hospital, and that discrimination changed everything. While under her care Nurse Mayflower took it upon herself to put Donatello out of his non-misery. It seems like her savior complex extends to killing people who still very much want to live.
What Else Has Jessie Buckley Been in?
An actor and singer, Buckley began her career after she appeared on the BBC TV talent show I’d Do Anything. In the following years she’s starred in the 2016 adaptation of War and Peace as Marya Bolkonskaya, FX’s Taboo, and the BBC adaptation of The Woman in White. But stateside audiences likely know Buckley from her more recent roles.
Last year Buckley starred as Lyudmilla Ignatenko in HBO’s award-winning miniseries Chernobyl. She also starred as the young woman in Charlie Kaufman’s I’m Thinking of Ending Things. In that Netflix original Buckley starred alongside Fargo veterans Jesse Plemons and David Thewlis.
