OG vlogger Carly Shay is returning to the (extra) small screen in a new iCarly reboot. The Paramount+ revival reunites fans with original stars Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress, and Jerry Trainor and will follow the trio as they navigate the regular ups and downs of adult life. As long as we get to see Gibby dance with his shirt off, we’re on board.

Since Paramount+’s iCarly reboot was first announced in December, new details (and pics!) of the series have been released, much to fans’ delight. However, fans still have plenty of questions about the new iCarly revival, and that’s where we come in. What is the iCarly reboot release date? Is there an iCarly reboot trailer for the new series? Here’s everything you need to know!

IS ICARLY COMING BACK?

Yes! In December, ViacomCBS announced that Nickelodeon series iCarly will be revived on Paramount+, the company’s rebranded streaming service. iCarly officially premieres this month.

NEW ICARLY 2021 PLOT: WHAT IS THE ICARLY REBOOT ABOUT?

According to ViacomCBS’ official description, the 2021 iCarly reboot will serve as “a new chapter for the most successful kids’ sitcom of all time.” The reboot, which picks up 10 years after the events of the original series, “finds Carly Shay, the original influencer, and her friends navigating work, love, and family in their twenties,” the description continues. The reboot stars Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor, and Nathan Kress, plus new additions Laci Mosley and Jaidyn Triplett.

IS THERE AN ICARLY REBOOT RELEASE DATE?

Yes! The iCarly reboot hits Paramount+ on Thursday, June 17.

WHY IS JENNETTE MCCURDY NOT IN THE NEW ICARLY?

It’s impossible to discuss the iCarly revival series without mentioning Jennette McCurdy, who played Carly’s best friend Sam Puckett on the iconic kids’ sitcom. McCurdy will not be appearing in the Paramount+ reboot, as she has retired from acting and is transitioning into writing and directing.

“My experience with acting is, I’m so ashamed of the parts I’ve done in the past,” McCurdy said recently on her podcast, Empty Inside. “I resent my career in a lot of ways. I feel so unfulfilled by the roles that I played and felt like it was the most cheesy, embarrassing. I did the shows that I was on from like 13 to 21, and by 15, I was already embarrassed. My friends at 15, they’re not like, ‘Oh, cool, you’re on this Nickelodeon show.’ It was embarrassing. And I imagine there’s a very different experience to be had with acting if you’re proud of your roles, and if you feel fulfilled by them.”

CAN I WATCH ICARLY ANYWHERE ELSE ON STREAMING?

Heck yeah you can. As you wait for the iCarly revival to be released, be sure to check out the first five seasons of the sitcom on Paramount+. Fans can also watch iCarly Seasons 1 and 2 on Netflix.

CAN I WATCH ICARLY ON PARAMOUNT PLUS, HOW MUCH DOES PARAMOUNT PLUS COST, AND HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR PARAMOUNT+?

Currently, there are two Paramount+ subscription options: a premium, commercial-free plan priced at $9.99/month, and an ad-supported tier priced at $5.99/month.
