Jermain Defoe has raved about Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski on PremierLeague.com for his performance against Southampton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League today.
Tottenham have kicked off their Premier League campaign with a 4-1 hammering of Southampton at home.
Winger Kulusevski was involved in two of the goals.
The 22-year-old Sweden international, signed on loan from Juventus in January 2022, provided an assist and scored a goal.
Former Tottenham striker Defoe was impressed by Kulusevski.

Defoe told PremierLeague.com: “His overall performance was brilliant, he was really direct.
“He took his goal really well, he used the defender and just caressed it into the corner. He gets so much pace on his crosses too, his ball is a forward’s dream.”
Important player for Spurs
In our view, Dejan Kulusevski is one of the best attacking players at Tottenham Hotspur and is an important figure in head coach Antonio Conte’s side.
We saw in the second half of last season just how good the Sweden international is.
Kulusevski scored five goals and gave eight assists in 14 Premier League starts for Tottenham during the second half of last season.
And it seems that the youngster has simply carried that form into this season.
For Tottenham to be successful this season, Kulusevski will have to play a big role.
