Earlier this year, fans went into Super Bowl Sunday knowing that two stars, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, were going to share the stage at halftime. But little did they know, a third budding star was also going to grace the stage: Lopez's daughter, Emme Muñiz.

The talented 12-year-old, who Lopez shares with ex-husband Marc Antony, made a guest appearance to perform a mellowed rendition of her mother's hit "Let's Get Loud." Backed by a girls choir, Emme's moment was a sweet, tender contrast to the high-energy dance sequences and flashy performances thus far. She then joined J.Lo and Shakira to close out the show with the song in its original tempo.

Fans of Lopez may already be familiar with her mini-me daughter from her Instagram posts and other rare public appearances. Muñiz also published a children's book earlier this fall. While her mother prepares to be honored at the 2020 People's Choice Awards tonight, we wouldn't be surprised if Emme went on to receive similar accolades in the future.

Emme has a twin.

Emme has a twin brother, Max Muñiz, who is just a few minutes younger than her. They were born in February 2008 in a New York hospital, Reuters reported at the time. In a surprise to no one, Max is an incredible singer too.

In a video on her YouTube channel, Lopez sat down with her kids and recalled the time she found out she was pregnant with twins. "The doctor says, you see that right there, that little grain of rice? That's the baby," she said. "You see this other little grain of rice over here? That's the other baby. I was like, 'What?' I started laughing hysterically. I just laughed out loud, I couldn't believe it. And that's how I found out I was having twins."

She's shown off her amazing voice before.

Emme has previously made headlines with her impressive pipes. Last May, J.Lo shared a YouTube video that included a clip of her daughter belting out "If I Ain't Got You" by Alicia Keys. In June, Lopez shared another video of her show at The Forum in Los Angeles, featuring Emme joining her onstage for a duet of her song "Limitless."

Apparently, she doesn't get stage fright.

In another one of J.Lo's videos, Emme talks about how she's become accustomed to performing in front of crowds.

"When I was little, I used to be really shy singing in front of people, but not anymore," she says in the clip. "I like being up on the stage and the dancers are all behind me. Because, every show, I look in a different direction to see who's behind me. My favorite person to see is my mom." (We definitely weren't that poised when we were 11.)

She takes after both of her parents.

Discussing her "Limitless" music video, which features Emme, Lopez tells Harper's BAZAAR, "I don't know if she'll follow in my footsteps, but she definitely has the genes. She's a natural. Some people, you put them out there and you can just tell. She's a little me."

Emme's inherited some of her father's skills too. Lopez told Entertainment Tonight, "She's got her daddy's voice. She's amazing. It's natural."

J.Lo continued, reminiscing about her daughter's early connection with music, "Emme could always sing. I remember when she was in the crib, when she was a baby, she used to be humming, like, really humming to herself. And Marc would say, 'She's singing, it feels good to her, it feels good to her soul and to her body,' because he was like that. I was like, 'You think she's singing?' And he was like, 'Yeah, yeah.' And he was right, and she's always, since she was little, she could always sing."

She has a cute nickname.

Lopez endearingly calls her kids her little coconuts, but when it comes to Emme, she often refers to her as Lulu.

She's a published author.

This past September, Muñiz wrote and published her first children's book titled, Lord Help Me, a story about her personal love of sloths and the power and prayer. The literary debut from Muñiz was published in both English and Spanish and Lopez expressed how proud she was of her daughter with a celebratory post on Instagram.

"So proud of my lil coconut 🥥 Emme, as she shares her own daily prayers in her very first book LORD HELP ME! This book will offer families a way to embrace the peace and power of everyday faith," wrote Lopez.
