JAY LENO DESCRIPTION

Most people are familiar with Leno's every-man style from his work as the host of the Emmy Award-winning "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." His comedy touches on topics that audiences of all ages can relate to, and he doesn't use a lot of profanity.

Before "The Tonight Show," Leno worked as a stand-up comedian headlining in clubs across the country. He performed as an opening act for well known entertainers including Tom Jones and John Denver. In 1977 Leno made his debut on "The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson" and was recognized as a permanent guest host in 1987.

Leno started his tenure as the main host for "The Tonight Show" in 1992 and went on to host the show for 17 years. In 2009, he passed the torch to fellow late night comedian Conan O' Brian. Leno's new talk show, "The Jay Leno Show," debuted that same year. After the show ended, Leno returned to star as the host of the "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" in March 2010 replacing O'Brien. In 2014 Leno retired from the "Tonight Show" and Jimmy Fallon replaced him.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jay Leno - a great comedian! We enjoy Jay Leno’s shows - back from The Tonight Show. No non-sense and great clean humor. Great common sense and well done. More than one hour and we were continuously laughing and enjoying his jokes. Very entertaining- it is like talking to a friend. Comfortable and entertaining!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrible Act, Sorry Jay, still think your great. OMG, we are huge Jay L fans, this was extreme disappointment. That being said there were a lot of people laughing in the crowd, not sure at what. Presentation was poor, jokes were dated. My parents (76 yo) pry would have enjoyed it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved the Jay Leno Show I wasn't sure what to expect with Mr. Leno's stand-up show after seeing him on TV. He was absolutely fantastic and the topics he hit on were timeless. We really enjoyed it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jay is still the best Jay is still the King of Comedy! Unlike other comedians, Jay doesn’t need to use profanity to be funny. I miss him on The Tonight Show, I grew up watching Johnny Carson, but I think Jay is a little better than Johnny Carson which says a lot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best show ever one hour and a half of pure, clean, adult comedy. No curse words, no embarrassing comments, just laugh till you hurt laughing non-stop. Jay is proof positive that insults and sex are NOT the only things to laugh at. I was entertained that I can't remember much of the jokes. All I can remember is that my sides hurt at the end and I couldn't believe the time had past so quickly. Again, best show ever.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Jay still got it First of all, Jay is a fantastic comedian who still takes his job very seriously. He is prepared, funny, flawless in his transitions, and entertaining from the get go to his closing. The venue is a different story, while the theater itself and the view of the stage are good, we were standing in a very long line for almost an hour before the show, waiting for the theater staff to start allowing people inside. When that finally happened, the line collapsed into a free-for-all chaos that became an elbow room battle to the door. This was the part of the experience that brought my rating of the event down.
