Jenelle Evans and husband David Eason appear to be in a great place, as they hit the beach together this week, almost two years after the “Teen Mom” star filed for divorce.
The reunited couple were snapped enjoying their time on North Carolina’s Wrightsville Beach, where Evans, 29, stuck her toes in the sand as she sipped a White Claw Hard Seltzer, which she later brought with her into the water for a few swigs.
She was later seen throwing a football around with family and strolling the beach with Eason, a shocker for those who recall the couple’s traumatic history that lead to Evans’ divorce filing amid allegations of abuse.
Evans wore a rust-colored, high-waist bikini, while Eason appeared fully dressed in a long-sleeve hoodie and black pants that were soaked by the day’s end.
The scene was a literal day at the beach compared to where the couple was in October of 2019, when Evans filed a restraining order against Eason, the father of her youngest child, 4-year-old daughter Ensley.
“Because of his recent threats, his history of violence, his erratic behavior and his large stockpile of weapons, I am scared for my life and my children’s well-being,” Jenelle said in court documents at the time.
Eason also admitted to killing the reality star’s dog, a French bulldog named Nugget, claiming the canine snapped at Ensley, a toddler at the time.
“The dog was aggressive,” Eason told People in 2019. “She might not be huge or whatever, but you know when a dog bites a child on the face more than one time, then it should never be around the child again.”
The incident resulted in Evans temporarily losing custody of her children.
More recently, Eason was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and communicating threats in June 2020.
Evans took to social media at the time to let fans know she was fine, writing, “I just want to let the public, tabloids, and my fans know that IM OK, IM SAFE AND SO ARE THE KIDS!”
The pair are clearly in a better place, as Eason has been featured throughout Evans’ Instagram feed for over a year now.
“I don’t care what they say, I love you no matter what. Here’s to new beginnings 🥰 #MarriedLife #HappyWifeHappyLife,” Evans posted in 2020.
The pair married in 2017. In addition to Ensley, Evans is mother to sons Jace, 12, and Kaiser, 7, from previous relationships.
