A divorce must be on file a minimum of 60 days before it can be finalized. At some point, the Court will set the case on its dismissal for want of prosecution docket -- and dismiss or nonsuit the case if it has been inactive for too long. That may have happened -- you can surf to the District Clerk's site for the county where your husband filed, and see if the case is still pending. Good luck to you.

Who does he owe $530 to? It would probably be better for you just to file your own petition for divorce. The filing fee is usually in the $300s. If he will sign a service waiver you won’t have to pay the approximately $80 to get him served. And you would be in control of What’s going on and where your money is going. If you have a case number from when he filed you can check the court’s website online, and see whether that case is still open. But if he didn’t pay the filing fee it’s probably closed or dismissed. You can get some free forms on www.texaslawhelp.org. They are usually for divorces with no children and no real property/no real estate. If you all have an agreement you can hire an attorney relatively inexpensively to process your divorce.
