ROSENTHAL--Doris Schloss, Age 102, passed away peacefully at home on December 1st, 2017. Loving wife of the late Edward (Eddie) Rosenthal. Predeceased by daughters Ellen Sarnoff, and Carol Maslow, she is survived by son Peter (Beth) Rosenthal, daughter Pat (Larry) Mann, son-in-law Arthur Maslow, grandchildren Doug (Lori) Sarnoff, Ken (Jeanette) Sarnoff, Toni Ross, Mark (Cindy) Ross, Jason (Nancy) Rosenthal, Julie (Ted) Obbard, Eric (Ana) Cantor, Lori (Josh) Capon and 17 great-grand- children. Her grandson, Gary Sarnoff, predeceased her. She was a product of the New York City public school system, and an active alumna of Barnard College '35. A remarkable woman of grace and elegance, a world traveler and a true New Yorker, she loved the theatre, museums, culinary excellence, and had impeccable taste in clothing. She was an elegant hostess who loved entertaining friends and family in a warm, bountiful milieu. Cherished by her whole family and many friends, she was sustained by the loving care of her aides, Josephine Decan, Charlene Williams-Johnson and Christine Shields. She was a link to a generation that will be sorely missed. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Dear Rosenthal Family,
We have known Doris our entire Married life of 56 Years and I have known her since I was a child. She was my Mother & Father's Friend and my Aunt Adele & Uncle Davids' best friend. She was the most wonderful person. Kind, Generous and Loving to her very large family and her many friends. She lived a long Wonderful life and will be remembered by her many friends with Fondness for many years to come.
