<p>Klaus Rosenthal, age 71 of Petoskey, Michigan went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 9, 2021 at the McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey with his wife by his side.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Klaus was born in Buchholz, Germany, the son of David and Rosa (Friske) Rosenthal. &nbsp;At the age of 2, the family immigrated to the United States and made their home in Racine, WI for a time before moving to the Charlevoix area, where they bought a farm and started Rosenthal Orchards. Growing up, Klaus worked on the family farm and with the Class of 1968, graduated from Charlevoix High School. &nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Klaus moved to Benton Harbor with his wife and started their family and blessed with two daughters Linda and Lisa. He worked in Continental Steel factory, and began working on motorcycles, a passion he would continue throughout his life. &nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>At the age of 21, Klaus moved to Petoskey and with a loan from his parents, built his first car dealership on M-119, Rosenthal Motors. And the dealership has moved to different locations. Even for a time, Klaus even owned the local Ford Lincoln Mercury Dealership Franchise. Throughout the years, all of his siblings went to work for him at the dealership. He currently still owns the Rosenthal Motors Auto Mart on US-31.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>On February 1993 and October 1993, Klaus flew to Philippines to meet the former Ever Ednilan Pastor. January 10, 1994, they got married in Polk County, Florida. They resided in Petoskey with their two daughters Angie and Rachael, and loved spent their winter in Florida with his two brothers and family.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Klaus loved cars, motorcycles and heavy equipment. He enjoyed collecting cars, built his Volkswagen Trike and like oval track racing. Klaus&rsquo; greatest joy was spending time with his brothers, employees and especially his family. &nbsp;He was a member of the New Hope Community Church of Petoskey and used to run a bowling league.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>He is survived by his wife, Ever; 4 daughters, Linda Lynn Rosenthal of Holland, MI, Lisa Lynn Rosenthal Neuser of St. Joseph, MI, Angelica Pastor Rosenthal of Petoskey and Rachael Pastor Rosenthal of Petoskey; 2 granddaughters, Emma Alexandra Neuser and Elizabeth Grace Neuser; a sister, Rita (Aron) Williams of East Jordan; 2 brothers, Ralph (Laurie) Rosenthal of Charlevoix and Walter (Michelle) &ldquo;Shelli&rdquo; Rosenthal of Charlevoix; and by many nieces and nephews.&nbsp;</p> <p>Klaus was preceded in death by his parents and by his son, Michael R. Rosenthal.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The service celebrating Klaus&rsquo; life will be held on Tuesday, September 14th at 1 PM at the Bible Baptist Church in Charlevoix. &nbsp;The family will be receiving friends at the church from 11 AM until the time of service. &nbsp;Klaus will be laid to rest next to his son Michael at the Brookside Cemetery in Charlevoix.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Those wishing to honor Klaus memory are asked to make a donation to the International Fellowship of Christian and Jews. Klaus Rosenthal, age 71 of Petoskey, Michigan went to be with his Heavenly Father on September 9, 2021 at the McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey with his wife by his side.
