Women’s Ski Jackets

Our wide range of women’s ski jackets feature innovative technologies developed with and tested by professional skiers.

They’re designed so you can stay dry even when the weather conditions turn wet and snowy. Our ski jackets and winter jackets constructed with HELLY TECHⓇ Professional, Performance, and Protection technologies are waterproof and breathable.

In fluctuating temperatures, quality insulation matters. We have a number of lightweight, water-resistant, warm, and packable down jackets for skiing. We also make ski jackets with our synthetic LIFALOFT™ insulation, designed to retain heat and remain more lightweight than standard insulation.

If you’re looking for hybrid insulation, we also carry jackets that combine down insulation and our LIFALOFT™ insulation technology, such as our Women's Elevation LIFALOFT™ Down Jacket.

Plus, our jackets have pockets—and lots of them! Many of our ski jackets feature a Life Pocket™ or Life Pocket+™. These pockets are two to three times warmer than traditional jacket pockets, which keeps your phone alive longer in cold conditions. You’ll also find ski pass pockets, goggle pockets, and hand pockets with brush lining.

To select the best ski jacket for you, consider several factors.

First, identify your skiing activity type. If you’re ski touring in the backcountry, you may want a jacket that allows you to comfortably layer up or down. Resort skiers may prefer a jacket to wear both on the slopes and at après ski.

You’ll want to think about what type of insulation you need for your adventures. Do you want a warm jacket that provides a good range of motion? A lightweight jacket or shell jacket for spring skiing? Or would you prefer to layer with one of our women’s vests?

Not every day is a bluebird day, so waterproofness is also an important consideration. Many of our ski jackets feature waterproof/breathable HELLY TECHⓇ technology to keep you dry and let moisture escape. Other helpful features include sealed seams, which prevent water from seeping in through stitching, and slick faces, which allow water to bead up and roll off.

Finally, consider what additional features are important to you. Practical details like powder skirts, removable hoods, high collars, and pocket placements can all positively impact your skiing adventures.

Appropriate care for your ski jacket not only keeps it clean but also helps maintain its technologies and performance. Start by reading the instructions on the care label, as directions for how to clean and waterproof a ski jacket vary among product types.

Regularly clean off dirt, snow, and other elements. Empty any pockets and close all zippers before washing either by hand or in a front loading machine. Wash with cold water on a delicate cycle. Only use a gentle detergent designed to treat technical fabrics. Regular detergent can damage outer coatings.

After washing, rinse the jacket thoroughly to ensure no detergent residue remains. Remove excess water by pressing on the jacket. Avoid wringing the jacket because it can damage the jacket’s insulation or fabric.

Line drying or drying on a hanger is the preferred method of drying a ski jacket. If you do use a dryer, be sure to use low heat. Placing clean tennis balls or dry towels in the dryer prevents clumps from developing in down insulation and helps fluff the jacket.

When storing your ski jacket, ensure it’s completely dry. Store the jacket in a cool, dry place out of sunlight to prevent fabric from weakening or colors fading.
