TCU basketball announces contract extension for Jamie Dixon through 2027-28

“I’m thankful for the belief, trust and support from Chancellor Victor Boschini and Jeremiah Donati,” said Dixon.

Coming off the program’s first NCAA Tournament win in 35 years, TCU announced a contract extension for head men’s basketball coach Jamie Dixon through the 2027-28 on Friday.

“Coach Dixon has done an unbelievable job building our men’s basketball program in his six seasons at TCU,” said TCU athletic director Jeremiah Donati in a statement. “He and his staff have developed young men in our program who represent TCU so well on and off the court. They have established a basketball culture on campus that makes everyone proud.

“I know I speak for our entire fan base and community when I say that we could not be more excited about the future and the trajectory we are on.”

The Horned Frogs have continued to reach new heights in Dixon’s tenure in Fort Worth. TCU’s second NCAA Tournament bid this season was its fourth postseason appearance in five seasons that postseason play was held, the best in program history.
