On Tuesday, Liverpool unveiled their brand new training facility, which has now opened for business for Jurgen Klopp’s staff and squad.
And Liverpool took fans behind the scenes to showcase the new centre after they bid a fond farewell to Melwood.
And as the Liverpool players got used to their new surrounds on Wednesday morning, James Milner gave Joel Matip a welcome he won’t forget.
Milner hit Matip in the face with the ball during a training rondo, taking the defender by surprise, naturally.
Milner booted the ball at the defender before it ricocheted into his face, with Milner joking “you get two touches” before ordering him into the middle.
Dubbed the ‘AXA Training Centre’ for sponsorship reasons, the new Liverpool training ground is looking very sharp.
Massive recreations of the club’s iconic crest adorn the sides of the impressive new facility.
And James Milner even has his own door.
