Died peacefully surrounded by family on September 20, 2022 at age 80. Predeceased by his loving wife, Gail A. (Grasley) Schmidt; parents George A. & Margaret M. Schmidt. He is survived by his children, Patrick (Amy) Schmidt, Heidi (Jeffrey) Pfenninger, Tracy Mac Neal, Eric (JoAnn) Schmidt; grandchildren, Joseph & Grace Schmidt, Erin, Paige, & Jacob Pfenninger, Abbie, Gannon & Travers Mac Neal, Alexis Schmidt; brother, George A. (Mary) Schmidt; sisters, Jean (Roger) Gilbert, Margaret (Joseph) Cooke; several brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law; many nieces & nephews and many very special lifelong friends. Dick was a 1960 graduate of John Marshall High School. He worked most of his career in sales at the Greece Penny Saver and also spent many years as the Bag Room Manager at Oak Hill Country Club. He was an avid golfer, proud Philadelphia Eagles fan, and many would claim "World's Greatest Papa". For more information, visit www.bartolomeo.com. Dick's life story will be shared during his visitation on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home, 1411 Vintage Lane (between Rte. 390 & Long Pond Rd.) His funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 27 at 9:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Church (3003 Dewey Ave.). Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dick's memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
