Independence, Missouri - Edna Sue Patton, 80 years old of Independence, MO passed away on September 15th, 2021 at home with loved ones. Edna was born in Malta Bend, Missouri in 1941 to Charles and Geraldine Smith. Edna and Phillip were happily married for 47 years. Edna enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching the Kansas City Royals and spending time with family.
Edna leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law Richard and Caroline Deihl of Kingsville, MO; daughter Deborah Kerr of Sugar Creek, MO; and sister Beulah Murray, Northmoor, MO. Edna also leaves behind grandchildren Joshua and Jillian Kerr of Bates City, MO; Jacob Kerr of Sugar Creek, MO; and great granddaughter Kamber Kerr of Sugar Creek, MO.
Through the years Edna and Phil had extended family Kathy Freddle, Arnie Arndt, as well as Neil and Julie Thomas who they thought of as their own children. She will be missed by her family and friends and her memory will live on forever.
Visitation will be 6-8pm, Monday, September 20, 2021 at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11am, Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 3736 S. Lee's Summit Rd., Independence, MO 64055. Burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
