Beverly L. Newman
April 13, 1944 - July 13, 2021
Overland Park, Kansas - Beverly Newman 77, of Overland Park, KS passed away July 13, 2021 with her family by her side. Beverly graduated from KU in 1964 and married Peter Newman in 1966. They spent 55 wonderful years together. Beverly's career was in education and as a librarian in the KCMO and Blue Valley School Districts. She was President and Treasurer of the Congregation Beth Shalom Sisterhood. Jewish traditions and family were of the upmost importance in her life. Beverly was a brilliant woman with rare qualities and abilities – one of a kind. She loved reading, history, traveling, and was a computer pro. Beverly was loved and appreciated by everyone who ever met her.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her half-sister Bettye Steinhaus. She leaves behind her husband Peter; son, Neil Newman and wife Cathy; daughter, Felice Saxe and her husband Joshua; grandchildren: Emily and Ethan Newman, Sarah, Heather, and Courtney Saxe.
