Mission, Kansas - Carole Lynn (Pattison) Drummond, 81, of Mission, KS, passed away peacefully on July 11th, 2021. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 16th at 2:00 p.m. at Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Road, Prairie Village, KS 66208. The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Claire and Charles Pattison.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Bill Drummond, daughter, Beth (Terry) Dahl, son, Mike (Alisha) Drummond and two grandsons, William and Jacob Drummond. Carole is also survived by her five siblings: Dr. Phillip (Mary) Pattison, Anne (Brad) Johnson, Jan (Tom) McKenney, Dave (Marilyn) Pattison, Lori (JC) Hards and a host of nieces and nephews.
Carole was born August 14, 1939 in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Kansas and taught a combined 20 years at Porter and Prairie Elementary Schools in the Shawnee Mission School District. Carole was an avid reader bridge player, golfer, volunteer and Deacon at Village Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Carole's name to Operation Breakthrough at 3039 Troost Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64109 where she volunteered her time.
