President Donald Trump’s ex-wife Ivana Trump said she’s worried and scared about his coronavirus infection and his hospitalization at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Ivana, 71 told People magazine she has been keeping up with their children — Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric — for updates on their father’s health.
“It’s a very difficult time,” Ivana, 71 said. “It’s a stress.”
Trump is currently doing well, but is “not yet out of the woods,” according to an update from his physician Saturday night.
Ivana said she was “shocked” that Donald, a self-described germaphobe, tested positive because he is so fixated on cleanliness.
“Not healthiest with food, but very healthy otherwise — always washes his hands and always is careful,” Ivana told the magazine.
“His only weakness is food. He likes the Big Mac — it’s his biggest weakness.”
Still, the former model put blame on the president, who has resisted wearing masks and insisted on holding large rallies and other events where attendees rarely wore face coverings.
“He was careless,” she added. “He didn’t think it would happen to him.”
She added that she’s “going to be afraid until he gets well and he gets out of it” — but she had no doubt about his re-election prospects.
“He will win,” she said. “There’s no question about it.”
