Golden Globes: Idris Elba's daughter Isan, 17, dazzles as the awards show's 2019 Ambassador as her proud dad shows his support for her on stage

Idris Elba's daughter Isan made her debut as the 2019 Golden Globe Ambassador on Sunday night, and her doting dad was on hand to support her on stage.

The 17-year-old glittered in a bedazzled black tulle gown as she stepped out on stage at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills to hand out trophies in the role formerly known as Miss Golden Globe.

And The Wire star, 46, was the picture of happiness as he couldn't keep the smile off his face when he introduced Isan at the awards show.

Isan put on a glamorous display as she wore her raven locks in glamorous waves, while she kept her accessories simple with a glittering bracelet.

The teen is Idris' daughter with make-up artist Kim Norgaard, who the star was married to from 1999 until 2003.

Speaking to E! News on the red carpet, the actor revealed the advice he gave Isan ahead of her stage debut, as he said: 'I told her to keep her back straight.

'Elegance is presence. Smile and nod politely even if you can't understand what anyone's saying. If you feel like you're going to pass out...don't.'
