Tried to hang with Brandon for a 7:30-7:50 mile pace for 2 miles alternating to 10-11 mile pace for 2 miles. At around mile 3 he started pulling ahead. With HR of 180 I had to slow down and continue at my own pace. Good run still! Considering new shoes with the hot spots I’m experiencing around my interior mid arches.
Beautiful and large park. So many side trails within to use. Easy to park and to picnic. Nice flat trail on outer limits of park. But lots of street traffic. Recommend walking the paths within the park not the one outlined here. Also great spots for kids to visit. Parks. Duck pond. Zoo. Fairytale Town.
Easy stroll. Many families out enjoying the lovely park. Dogs (mostly leashed). Walked around Duck ponds, Fairy Tale Town, golf course. Can add mile(s) if walk in and out all the paths or include the lower loop. Much traffic on bordering roads. To avoid, walk inside the dirt trails on the grass and inner paths. Can go through City College and over the train tracks to walk to include Curtis Park. Again an easy stroll.
