We had an enjoyable dinner at this small quaint restaurant with more of a café feel, than the larger restaurants in the Niagara on the Lake area. Everything was good, we had the Tuna grilled , the Heirloom tomato salad with Buffala cheese, Grilled Mackerel,...and the Fish a chips . Only One thing do not eat the Habanero pepper decoration on grilled Yellow fin Tuna , as You will loose your taste buds to enjoy the dish afterwards. Great spot if you can’t get in at the Gate House.More

We enjoyed a truly delicious dinner at Treadwell Farm to Table with friends. Every appetizer and main was hot and delicious. I enjoyed the butternut and squash soup, enough for everyone! The roasted pork chop with brussels was seared and seasoned perfectly, again enough for...everyone! There is something for everyone and a fantastic wine list as well. A more expensive meal but well worth it.More

We have been many times in Treadwell and we always like the dishes and the way of serving. Our last visit as a family of 4, I have ordered main chilled shrimp and tuna dish as a appetizer, family ordered caesar with chicken, flat iron...steak and peach salad. The temperature and the presentation of the dishes was okay but surprisingly the caesar salad was not mixed with dressing, the plate was filled with lettuce and the dressing was drizzled on top like little diner restaurant style and the waiting time for the mains were longer than usual. But, overall it was good. Our server was very polite and has well knowledge about the menu, and the restaurant took all necessary steps for Covid19.More

We recently reserved this restaurant for our 50th Anniversary Dinner and from all the reviews, we truly looked forward to a Fine Dining Experience. The evening started off very nicely with Bill, the Sommelier (a very professional and personable individual) bringing us a complimentary glass...of champagne. We shared a Scallop/Pork Belly appetizer which was very tasty and cooked to perfection. We complimented our meal with a wonderful bottle of Merlot. Our waiter Benoit was most excellent, courteous, and knowledgeable; a true professional. However, the main courses left much to be desired. My striploin steak was ordered medium-rare, arrived medium-well and had so much grizzle and fat that it was almost uneatable, and quickly sent back. They did try to atone by offering to cook me a different meal, but at that time I was quite disappointed and had lost my appetite. My wife's Pork Tenderloin, albeit tasty, was miniscule and came out lukewarm. An atoning saving grace was the kind gesture of a gratuitous Crème brûlèe. All in all a lack luster evening which left us wondering if we will ever return. In my personal opinion, Treadwells is a middle of the spectrum restaurant and NOT fine-dining.More

One week ago, we reserved at Treadwells to dine on their covered patio. I specifically requested their special Thanksgiving turkey dinner and she made a note of that. When we arrived tonight, we were told that they had run out of turkey due to a...large demand for takeout dinners. (they had left us a message 1 hour prior informing us of this, but we had already left the house) How many orders did they fill today and never thought about setting aside 2 dinners for a week old reservation? I would have gladly paid ahead of time just as those ordering takeout these last few days did. It was very disappointing and there was not even any offer of perhaps a discount on a different meal or a free dessert. We were left stranded to find another restaurant on short notice which would have been impossible had it had been prime dinner time. This is our 1st and last time going to Treadwells.More

My wife and I were visiting NOTL for a babymoon and had booked a lunch reservation for the patio. Our table was not ready at our reserved time and we did not get seated in their patio space until half an hour past our reservation...time. Though the staff were apologetic, we were very disappointed and increasingly hungry as we waited for our table to be free. Overall, the food was decent but the extended wait was not a great appetizer to start with.More

After spending almost a week dining and visiting the NOTL area, my husband and I were looking forward to dining at this acclaimed restaurant. We had reserved at Treadwell weeks before in early July for the evening of July 29th, for 7:30 pm. As it...was still Phase 2 we could only book an outdoor table. (Fine with us as we’re had not dined in for 15 months and not comfortable eating indoors yet) Upon arrival, we waited while 2 other couples were seated. The hostess proceeded to confirmed and inform us that we had booked a patio table but due to the threat of rain they had decided to move us inside. The rain had stopped at 11:00 am that day and the skies were clear when we arrived and people were dining outside. When I Pointed to an outdoor table she said it was reserved for someone else. Then she waved to some table outside of the main area saying that was supposed to be ours. (Outdoor seating at Macdonalds had more style!) She then led us inside to a « nice table with a view of the bar » translation =a table not in main room with a view of washroom and kitchen. One other couple, no ambience. After sitting down, I felt disappointed, upset and honestly felt treated like a 2nd class citizen. Especially how we were treated by the hostess. My husband and decided to leave for all this reasons. Considering the reputation and cost of this restaurant we were extremely disappointed with the way we were treated. My advice, spend your $300.00 at Peller or Trius or Ravine restaurant with excellent food, sweeping views of the vineyards, and professional and friendly hostess and wait staff. The food might be good here but I will never return to find out. A very upsetting end to our anniversary trip after a tough year. Treadwell you can and should do better with your people skills.More

Went to this restaurant in NOTL as reviews were so good. Wine list was impressive but be advised it was very limited by the glass. Only 4 reds by the glass and one of them was not Niagara. Waiter had too many tables and we...felt neglected. Menu is limited if you’re not a meat eater. Portions seemed on the small side though the food was good. We went to another restaurant for more wine and food after we left as we were still hungry and thirsty and didn’t want to spend $100 on a bottle of wine.More

March 12 26 wedding anniversary dinner for two at 630 pm. Seated on time, attended promptly with menu, water and drinks. NOTL was deserted, only a handful of places open. First time here, but have dined in most of the local places. We had starters...of the roasted beet salad and the east coast pork belly scallop choice. They were both superb, the scallop melted in my mouth as soon as it left my fork. Our main delights again left me speechless with the beef cheek which I ordered tasting awesome and the Woolley shoulder lamb which my wife dispatched with a smile. Wait staff was attentive and knew their stuff. The evening was great, wine delicious and the food was the best we have had in a long time and we have a few dinners here and there👍👍 one complaint...my wife has short stubby fingers and couldn’t grip the water glass very well..haMore

We went to this restaurant for breakfast and there was no line up. We waited about 10-15 minutes for the hostess to acknowledge us and to be seated. Once we were at our table no one came over to greet us and we waited another...10 -15 minutes before I hailed down a server to ask for some water. She said she was not our server, and someone would be with us shortly. Another 10 minutes later someone else came to take our order and she said that she didn’t realize we were her table because no one told her we were there. We ordered eggs benedict which came with Lobster. We asked if we could substitute the lobster on one of the orders for Peameal Bacon. She said that she didn’t know if it was possible and would have to ask the kitchen. We didn’t hear back from her with a response and a few minutes later, I asked her if the order was put through. She said that she punched it in the system and if the food came out with the Peameal, then we would know that it was alright. When we received our food, there was no Peameal but burnt regular bacon on the one order. On the other order, the lobster tasted like it had been tossed in a pound of butter and another pound of butter was in the hollandaise sauce. The eggs were cold and hard boiled, the potatoes tasted like soap and the grilled tomato tasted like a chemical solution had been added. To top it off, the server charged us double for our food and we had to wait another 10-15 minutes for them to correct our bill. Overall, it was the worst breakfast we have ever had and I do not recommend this place for breakfast or brunch. 2 eggs benedict – $56.00 2 coffees – $9.90 2 Caesars – $24.00 Total – $101.59More

The patio is really nice with tables well spaced apart. It started to pour with rain while we were seated, but the patio is covered so it wasn't an issue and we were happy we didn't have to move inside. My husband and I both...had the local heirloom tomato, peach and burrata salad which was delicious. He had pasta, and I had the lobster club, which was also delicious. The service was a little slow but not really an issue Only disappointment was that the wine by the glass is very limited. I was expecting all to be from the region, but surprisingly one of the reds was from Italy. I did have a very good locally produced sauvignon blanc, however. It was a very good evening, and I would go back.More

Being a huge proponent of farm to table cuisine, I must say this is one of my favourites. The menu rotates around readily...available produce and the selection of local wines is fabulous.More
