Star Trek is leaving Netflix in September 2021

Sadly, we’re going to be losing another great television series this upcoming September. Calling all Trekkies, this is not a drill. Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise will all be leaving the streaming platform soon. These three TV shows are classics, and we hate to see them go in September 2021.

The Star Trek franchise has been around since the ’60s and quickly made a name for itself. We can almost guarantee that anywhere you go, you can find at least one person who loves the sci-fi series.

It’s amazing to see how a TV show can be a part of several generations of audiences. Star Trek really made a mark in the science-fiction genre, and new TV shows and films definitely look up to the television series for inspiration.

So to see the TV series that started it all (Star Trek: The Original Series) and some of its following series leave our favorite streamer is bittersweet. I guess we’ll all have to wish Star Trek farewell with a Vulcan salute.

When is the last day to watch Star Trek on Netflix?

The popular sci-fi series is scheduled to leave Netflix on Thursday, September 30, 2021. This means that your last day to watch the three series in full is on Sept. 29. If you’re new to the Star Trek world, you’re probably not going to finish all three series because there are a lot of seasons and episodes in each series.

However, we encourage you to watch what you can. We promise that you won’t be disappointed! And if you’re a loyal Trekkie, go rewatch whichever series you prefer (probably Voyager) for the 100th time. We hope that the action-adventure series makes its return to Netflix in the future.

Will Star Trek return to Netflix?

Most likely not. Paramount+ currently holds the full list of Star Trek television series, so there wouldn’t be a reason for these three sci-fi series to make a reappearance on Netflix. However, never say never, right? Things can change, and we may see new and old Star Trek titles hit Netflix in the future.

For now, try to watch Star Trek: The Original Series, Voyager and Enterprise before they make their departure from Netflix. Or you can take your time and watch Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and The Next Generation. These two titles are not slated to leave Netflix any time soon.
