“I fucking love this site

I've made tons of friends from this site. I been on it for over 13 years with the breaks when I had a boyfriend but as soon as my relationship ended there I was on pof again. I feel for the guys cause I heard some horrorstories but I speak for myself and say it has been and continues to be amazing for me. I love how you can scroll through who checks you out plus it seems like a limitless sea of guys wanting to talk or meet I am honest af on my profile and that is the key with any dating site in my opinion.

“What a horrible site

Jaime G.

I paid for a 3 month membership hoping to see out fake profileS. Nope it didn't. So many fake profiles and I've had 2 prostitution solicitations. The site makes it impossible to communicate with anyone to file a complaint with their customer service. They don't know what that words means. Please don't give this site one penny of your hard earned money. Need more proof I've got plenty

You have to pay or you can't send messages or see likes. It's misleading when the little counter gives the number of people interested in you but just because someone looked at your profile doesn't mean they are interested. You can't control the distance. Most of my choices are from over 100 miles away. I frequently get "likes" from other states but I've never heard from any of those people when I respond. Most likely fake profiles just to make it seem this app had a lot of potential matches.

Tip for consumers:
Anyone that tries to give you a phone number for texting will ask for money.

I did nothing to break their terms.and conditions, I put on my profile, that I am anti vax.and anti mask. Explained why. I then got attacked by Liberal's.and called derogatory names. I reported them and I got kicked. Just another her social media controlled Nazi site. Also, there are very few attractive women, they are all fake profiles, prostitutes, fat, etc. Keep away from this trash site.

Tip for consumers:
Don't waste your time!

If you arent white and nude on there they allow the trolls to report you then the site blocks you, guys send sexual rape fantasy's in first messages but thats ok, right? Even when sent screen shots they dont care. I have screen shots of everything i violated nothing, yet my account is restricted? Because i refuse to reply to sexual first messages? These pigs falsely report you? And this is a tame first message, the ones about rape they wont even let me post and these are first messages from users, the same jobless losers that report you for not answering

I just uploaded a new picture and they take it down almost nanoseconds. The picture is me I look different in every pic.

Also months ago u take down my dog pic yet I see so many woman put dog pics up.

It doesn't make sense and u pof workers should be consistent. I don't know what kind of people u hire.

I guess u get what u pay for cause it's free. Do they hire clerks who just click buttons to show there working

Trust me go to a reputable site that costs money you'll get real people who know what there doing

And that doesn't even count the issues trying to get in.

Tip for consumers:
My tip for others using this site is go to another site. U pof creators can’t even come up with the idea of filtering certain things

Like if someone messages someone with a long message only to find out u can’t message them. It’s completely stupid and a waste of time

Other sights won’t make u type so much all for nothing.

I genuinely don't understand how women who are overweight*unattractive*with multiple children can have such a picky and stuck up attitude in the profile they put up on the site

It is full of silly unrealistic people who expect to find the man of the dreams yet have absolutely nothing to give back. All you would get from these women would be earache

Just full of obnoxious drama queens who think they are princesses.

Zachary Carl Shelden- this guy is a narcissist and user! Steer clear ladies! He's a player and a loser. Lives with one ex gf, 50 years old and has never been able to fully support himself. His first picture is decades old and even though he's 50 he looks way older! He has zero going for him. No assets and a junker of a car. Like the typical emotional vampire everything is about him. He will tell you he's faithful to you while never deleting Pof and still chatting with other females. This one is the worst of the worst. Learn from my mistakes throw this one back!

Has a lot of fake profiles and rules aren't enforced but you can meet a few decent people on there. Me I've met two people I really like as friends now over two years but I don't pay for a membership. I am sure paid memberships find a lot of people.

Like all online dating sites it's all about the money and they will try to nickle and dime you to death!

I signed up, paid for 3 months and first of all got scammed into a so called Split POF online call system. My c/card was charged twice with $5,000.00. Fortunately my bank flagged it. After a week of membership, I was cancelled. No notice, no explanation, no money back! I did not break any rules, on the contrary. I am a very decent and well spoken person. I hope this saves a few smart people money and trouble.

I'm a decent looking guy with a lot to offer and every girl on here even the ones below average have a huge entitlement syndrome even the ones who are not great looking but said hello to me,, don't waste your time these girls are both nasty in looks and nasty in character. They are on here because they flat out suck and no good guy would date them,, most smoke are jobless but require you to be perfect. Forget this site don't waste your time and the other girls on here are just nasty trash

My account at POF was either hacked, migrated or sync with another account and POF wont respond to the constant help requests. The person who now owns my account, a woman, made a token purchase from my account, since my account has my bank information on it but since I am a man looking for a woman she is a hot female the whole male POF membership after her. WTH, how can they not be accountable for this. I have had to cancel my bank cards to avoid this crap from continuing.

You can't change your birthday or your desired distance of referrals with POF First of all they don't have a phone number for customer service. When I sent a request in for the above corrections they sent me back an answer to a totally different question. Since then they have never responded to my second request for the same information
So basically customer service does not exist at Plenty of fish

This is a fake person, that will tell you they love you, you're their soul mate, etc... then beg for money to pay medical bills, rent, etc...

Tip for consumers:
Be aware of escorts, and scammers.

Hello ladies, be on the lookout for Steve Sumner from Muncie, In. He will try to ruin your life. He acts like he is nice and he is not. He says he is lonely and only wants one lady, then before you know it he flings with over weight women. I seen more than 3 at his house in a month. He keeps a Facebook with FWB that have him with 3 or 4 others on one profile and their main Facebook. He thinks he is sneaky. Not trustworthy. If you like a man that likes to swop and call him Daddy, then he is the one for you. A lot of fakes on there. I am not going back.

This site should be called Plenty of Fakes and they don't take actions when I report the fake profiles/scammers

U went through several days of the "meet me" list and at least 60% of the profiles I clicked on were inactive more than a year. Not real good at matching you up with people who live nearby.

Do not use POF. They will delete your profile after you've paid for no reason. I contacted a lawyer to pursue a class action suit. This has happened to me over 2 years and many more people. If this is the case, please contact me. *******

Tip for consumers:
Don’t use it

My experience on POF was a little better than some of the other sites but mostly fake profiles. People would like my picture than ask me to sign up for some other webcam site with clickbait. I did get one person's number but from the almost 100 plus people I reached out to I received very few results and maybe 1 phone number which didn't lead anywhere. At least it wasn't that expensive like Ashley Madison.

Lots of people on here are scam from Nigeria. To save your heart and time. Ask to chat with them on the phone directly to find out if they are real people who say they are. Lots of them have phone number that doesn't work when trying to call them. This site has the worst scam. It's really a waste of time. Some of them here are real people of course. It's upsetting that this app has no control over who has fake account and not let them be on. Pay attention to their broken language too, You then have an idea they are scammers.

I used Plenty of Fish for a couple of months - back in 2018 - my view is that its actually pretty good -
I got a few dates on it, and although there are a few doubters - I did well -
I recommend NOT paying for it ( you don't need to) and just give pleasant replies / messages -
And see what happens - frankly there are far worse out there!

Problem with pof

0.01% women are okay looking & have a friendly personality

99.9% are either unattractive/unpleasant/overweight/social misfits/mentally unhinged or deluded. Most tick more than one of these boxes

They all however think they are princesses and men should fall at their feet

I refuse to entertain any contact with these circus freaks

Females on this site are really rank bad, they are extremely unattractive and yet have huge ego's

Lots of them cant even be bothered to fill the profiles out, those that do are so choosey it's unbelievable. Making demands about height and how you must have a beard etc etc

I honestly don't get how they can have such a dreadful attitude. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand why they are single

I didn't see any friendly or cheerful women on there just deluded demands

A total waste of time even looking

I was hoping to find some one to love. Instead i got nothing but scams. I never join dating site before. In 3 weeks i have 4 ladies ask for money. And POF want money. Please stay away from this site. Thanks God i only join for one month, but managed to get one more payment out of me. I didn't want to use my credit card so i use paypal and paypal let them steal from me. The only thing you going to get from this site is heart. Stay away.

95% of profiles are fake nowadays at least in my area ( all have one pic no descriptions and all trying to get you to pay for other sites) and when you dont log on for 2 weeks theyll say you broke their rules and delete your profile then say sorry sometimes we accidentally delete the wrong profile

During time I used this service, it was fine. Then they started a "verification"process that I cannot use. They take my money, but won't allow me into my account. They gave this a temporary fix that lasted a short time, but that was then. I can never talk to anyone or get even an on line chat this site, for me, has been a Kafkaesque experience.

Q&A (197)

Oh yes, they want you to upgrade and pay! But when you pay you will see these profiles who you liked or who liked you disappear. They were nothing but bait-and-switch. You gain nothing when you pay, it's the silliest way to spend money. Are you looking for hook up or relationship? I wanted a relationship and I was really frustrated by Pof. Eventually I found what I was looking for on But I've lost nearly a year on Pof. Not to mention emotional drain and money!

I just deactivated my account. This site is a sewer. Do not pay anything for this site or any site. I searched for free on other site( even paid ones you can search for free) and I saw the same guys on most of the other sites as well. I'm gonna grow old alone unless luck steps in and maybe I'll meet my guy IRL.

Delete AND contact the company. If you know who took your pictures be sure to include the name on the profile that your pictures were used on, so they can deal with that person. Once you have deleted your profile, everything is GONE. I have never had anybody use my pictures on any other sites. I'm no great beauty, that could be the reason, Still, once your profile is deleted, everything is gone.

You cannot do it from the mobile site. You need to use your search, example safari and look up pof desktop version and go to the help in the top left. It will walk you thru it, if I remember correctly. Good luck

First, write to POF and explain. Now, and I mean NOW call up your credit card company and tell them what happened. I am sure POF will not contact you. Make sure to use the word "unacceptable" when describing the consumer service to the CC company about POF. Keep all emails too. Please keep me posted. Thanks Ann B.
