2 Nick Carter Is Committed To His Sobriety

Nick Carter's struggle with alcoholism and addiction was widely publicized while he was one of the biggest stars in the world in the early '00s. As the Backstreet Boys were enjoying huge success, Nick was struggling privately with marijuana and ecstasy use that soon gave way to cocaine and prescription pill addiction. In 2002, he was arrested after getting into a brawl at a bar, followed by a DUI arrest in 2005. With the help of his BSB band mates, he got sober. 1 Nick Carter Is Not In Touch With His Mother Or Brother Very Much

Nick Carter came from a rough childhood, growing up in a home with parents who were constantly screaming at each other and violent with one another. He has had a lot of battles with his family over the years, especially with his younger brother and former child star Aaron Carter, against whom Nick was granted a restraining order in 2019 after Aaron threatened to kill Nick's wife who was pregnant at the time.
