Basically the bugs were features. HTML on profiles was a complete accident/error in the coding. However, what MySpace was always tripping up on in 2007 was bandwidth more so than coding issues.
Can users inject malicious Javascript into their pages like the good old days of MySpace lol

Just came here to say, even with it's tweaks n stuff, this gave me a huge rush of nostalgia and serotonin. I immediately made a profile when a friend told me about it and managed to find a layout I once used from the good old days lmao. I also found and got my old iPod working the same week haha. I think that just means that everything works. It really is a shame that people picked “functional programming” as the name of a paradigm when functional is already such a well known word for something that works
Well it's the most intuitive name for the paradigm. Any coder immediately knows what it means without anyone explaining it to them. Any one who doesn't code doesn't care what paradigm you used to make your MySpace clone.
I think the title gives plenty of context for us to infer what the op meant anyway. u/afellowhumanperson is probably spending a ton of time studying programming if they thought the op meant he used functional programming versus just meaning that the site worked.
I don’t even think it’s intuitive. To me, functional only means that it has functions. Guess what? Procedural code and OOP code also have functions. So what does the name really even tell you?
