Best joke ever: ‘limited to 1000’ and then sending me #1587. I never care for this limited hype thing, just want the record to sound marvelous. And this one does!

I went through 3 different copies of this and they all suffered from the same issue: repeated ticks throughout track A6 due to scratches/pressure marks. Others have expressed similar defects on side A as well. Aside from that it's a very decent sounding cut. Seems to be a QC issue; buyer beware.

Agreed with Jetrocket, this is a solid release. Pressing is quality. Flat, quiet and vinyl is beautiful. Packaging is wonderful as well and feels like a quality 1980’s Japanese release. Music is just wonderful. Can’t believe it was never released in 1967! Shame that VMP didn’t release as one of the monthly releases with the essays and listening notes. If you love 60’s soul, you should grab this for your collection.

This is a knock out reissue. A wondeful southern soul-collection. Fans of Etta James, Luara Lee, and other good soul shouters check for this title. This sounds so good. Quality issue.
