I believe that Ipswich Has the potential to be one of the most advanced Public schools in the northshore of Massachusetts. Now though, in the climate of Ipswich I do not believe the school can be considered entirely safe.
I'm very glad I'm enrolled in Ipswich High School, it's a relatively smaller public school but it has plenty of resources to help aid students who are struggling either academically or emotionally, as well as have an amazing cast of teachers who succeed in engaging students while effectively giving them information. In the 4 years I've been at Ipswich, I haven't had single teacher that I've disliked or that has treated me unfairly. The staff do their best to make the experience for students as best as they are able to, and the student climate itself is generally safe and comfortable to be around. It's the best school district I've been a part of.
I think that some clubs deserve more credit and celebration than they get. Interact Club does more for the community than sports and other clubs. They raised $4,700 this year for the Open Door local Food Pantry and other community causes. The best part about Ipswich is the music program. I was able to take advantage of this progam and music has been such a big part of my life. I play the flute, and I value my ability to read music like it is another language. The ability to play an instrument is something that makes me well-rounded as a student and individual, and something I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. I am so grateful to have that opportunity.
