1. Melaka Night River Cruise

Best way to see the wonders of Melaka would by going on a cruise on the Melaka River Cruise. The ride will take around 45 minutes and will allow to get a different sight of Melaka. Some of the places you get to see during the ride is the Malay village of Kampung Morten and the beautiful murals alongside Jonker Walk. To go on the cruise make your way to the Muara jetty or the Taman Rempah Jetty.

2. Menara Taming Sari

Get a birds eye view of the city by going to Menara Taming Sari. Menara Taming Sari is a gyro tower which can give you a 360 view of the city. This ride can give you the view of the whole city including some of the tourist hotspots, famous shopping centres and historical sites such as St Paul’s Hill and the Indepence Memorial Building.

3. Melaka Alive

Fan of plays? Then Melaka Alive is something you should look forward to. Melaka alive combines theatre and the rich history of Melaka to give you a wonderful and educational show. The show combines visual effects, music and live acting which explains why they call it a 5D show. The play allows visitors to immerse themselves in the culture of old Melaka and appreciate its diversity. The theater feature 2 plays at the moment – Pirate Adventure and Winds of Melaka.

4. The Shore Oceanarium

The Shore Oceanarium boasts for the Melaka’s premier visitor destination. A major tourist entertainment attraction, the oceanarium is very educational as it has many exhibits displaying various sea life. It has a whopping 12 zones of different showcases for visitor to check out where some of it are the Interactive Touch Pool, Sea Shell Madness, Magic Aquarium, Rivers Story, and etc. Another highlight of the oceanarium is that it provides 3D experience for visitors which will make the experience so much more fun. 5. Batik Painting

Batik is one of the traditional arts that is one of the crucial parts of the Malaysia heritage and culture. It is the art of making colourful motifs on fabric using dyes and wax. Housed in a building designed like a traditional Malay house, Melaka batik house offers guest a wide selection of batik collection for both men and women. They also offer class packages when you can join to learn how to make batik art. Instructors and staffs are available to guide you on how to do the pattern and painting the colors.

7. Freeport A’Famosa Outlet Village

Freeport A’Famosa Outlet Village is a shopping village located in Alor Gajah. This village features over 70 international brands with seasonal promotion to satisfy your shopping addiction. Some of the brands featured would be Nike, Clarks, Hush Puppies and many more. The Dutch styled shopping village also has entertainment for children such as carousel ride and pool with mini geysers. 8. The Shore Sky Tower

Another great place to visit in Melaka would be the Shore Sky Tower. This 43 storey bulding is located near the Melaka River and is famous for letting visitors get a bird’s eye view of the historical city. You’ll be able to get the scenic view of Melaka city at the 42nd floor of the tower. From the Sky tower you’ll be able to see Gunung Ledang, the Straits of Melaka and Pulau Besar. If you’re to not be afraid of heights, then you can view the ground from the glass ledge of the tower.

9. Dutch Square

Travel back in time as you visit the Dutch Square, another historical landmark in Melaka. Easily identifiable by the bright red building, the Dutch Square has many museums, galleries and churches that you can visit. The Dutch Square also has stalls selling souvenirs and knick knacks that you can buy. Colourful trishaws can be seen a lot in the area that you can hire to take tour around place.

10. Upside Down House Melaka

Upside Down House Melaka is a great place to test out your photography skills. This place is a replica of a modern Malaysian House and is very unique as every item inside is inverted. The house has 5 rooms which is the living room, kitchen, master bedroom, children’s room and bathroom. Planned well with the right pose and angle you can obtain great photos. This is a good place to have family and friends photo-shoot sessions.

11. Melaka Thousand Tales Adventure

You might have heard of 3D, 4D or even 5D. But have you heard of 7D? Boasting their 7 D motion ride is the famous Melaka Thousand Tales Adventure. What is so interesting about 7D you ask? Well 7D is a combination of environment effect, roller coaster experience, dynamic water and fog as well as battling with the monsters using laser gun. A laser gun is provided during the session that allows visitors to enggage thus resulting in a 7D experience. Fun right? Divided into 3 floors, there are 7 zones filled puzzles and interactive games, visitors have cross to reach the Final Combat with the 7D experience.

12. Jonker Street Night Market

A trip to Melaka is never complete without a visit to the famous Jonker Street Night market.
