Dave Bautista's range makes him a great fit for the scarred S-class hero, King, bringing humanity and charm to the role. Karen Fukuhara's experience playing resilient heroes makes her well-suited to portray Fubuki and navigate the love-hate dynamics with her sister Tatsumaki. Jeremy Irons' flamboyant campiness combined with self-absorbed gravitas would be the perfect blend for the character of Deep Sea King, with Lin's skillful direction.

Where to Watch Powered by Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' disappointing box office returns raise doubts about Michael Bay's 14-movie Transformers plan. The movie introduces changes to character beats and incorporates references to Transformers lore, but fails to make a mark at the box office. The possibility of a Transformers and G.I. Joe crossover offers hope for the franchise's future by attracting wider audiences and capitalizing on nostalgia.
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' disappointing box office returns prove that Michael Bay's 14-movie Transformers plan may not work out. Serving as a reboot to Michael Bay's Transformers movies and a sequel to 2018's Bumblebee, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts brings a fresh spin to the franchise by unfolding in the 90s. Unlike the Michael Bay movies, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts also emphasizes Mirage's characterization and highlights how Optimus Prime struggles to guide the Autobots during his early years of leadership.

The search for the next Lost has been happening for the past 13 years since it ended, and the answer lies in the Stephen King-approved horror series From. Becoming a massive phenomenon upon its release in 2004, Lost is still regarded as one of the greatest TV shows of all time despite its divisive 2010 finale, which has led to over a decade's worth of series attempting to recapture its lightning-in-a-bottle magic. Many mystery TV shows have been branded the “new Lost” since, but none have succeeded in living up to this title as earnestly as From, an ongoing mystery horror series that more quietly premiered in 2022.
In a premise not entirely dissimilar to the mysterious plane crash series Lost, the MGM Plus show From is centered on a peculiar town that traps anyone who enters, which is terrorized by horrifying monsters at night and supernatural occurrences throughout the day. Praised by the King of Horror himself,...

For two seasons, the Fox sci-fi drama Fringe featured The Walking Dead actor Kirk Acevedo as FBI agent Charlie Francis. He was a close friend of series protagonist Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv before she starred on Netflix's Mindhunter). Charlie often risked his career to help her and her Fringe Division colleagues, Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson), Walter Bishop (John Noble) and Astrid Farnsworth (Jasika Nicole), as they dealt with paranormal phenomena.
Unfortunately, however, Charlie didn't make it all the way to the finale. During the second season, Olivia was the target of an assassination attempt that went horribly wrong -- and Charlie suffered the consequences. Fringe fans got conflicting messages afterward about why Charlie was written out and about Acevedo's future with the cult-hit series. Here's the complete story of who Charlie Francis was and why he only lasted three of Fringe's five seasons.

Rise Of The Beasts Is Just The Beginning - Michael Bay’s Final Transformers Plan Saved The Franchise
Michael Bay might be done directing Transformers movies, but his help with a final movie plan helped save the franchise. Paramount found success with Michael Bay at the helm of the Transformers franchise once it began in 2007. The studio and director partnered up for five Transformers movies in total before Bay decided to call it quits and shift his focus to directing other films. The film series has continued to live on, as Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is the seventh entry in the live-action franchise overall. However, it was not that long ago that it appeared that the Transformers movies could come to an end.
Michael Bay's Transformers movies peaked in popularity with Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Transformers: Age of Extinction. The two films, one the end of the first trilogy and the other the start of a potential new trilogy, both earned over $1.1 billion at the box office worldwide.

Plot: The series unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. In season two, hidden truths about the nature and terrifying origins of the town begin to emerge, even as life for its residents is plunged into chaos by the arrival of mysterious newcomers.
Review: There are few things as entertaining as a great mystery series. When Lost debuted in 2004, every network tried replicating the balance of serial storytelling, mystery box thrills, and cliffhanger endings. The problem many of those series encountered were characters that audiences did not connect to. MGM+ series From, created by John Griffin, benefited from the skills of various cast and crew from Lost to help turn it into a hit when it premiered last year. Now, the second season of the series expands the ensemble and follows the Lost pattern by deepening the town’s mysteries surrounded by supernatural predators...

Citadel doesn’t premiere on Amazon Prime Video until April 28, but the spy thriller starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden is set for a second season, and it’s coming to California.
The series executive produced by the Russo Brothers has been awarded a whopping $25 million in tax credits to relocate from the UK to the Golden State for Season 2, the California Film Commission said Monday. In total, seven TV series — two relocations, five new shows — are in line to receive around $80 million in incentives for this allocation round. See the list below.
In fact, Citadel isn’t the only Amazon series to benefit from California’s generous program this time around, with a list that includes a couple of untitled series as well as HBO’s Wondermill, which appears to be a code name for The Rehearsal, whose first season filmed in Oregon. We are getting a clarification...

The Sands International Film Festival, Scotland’s burgeoning film event, opened its second edition this weekend with the world premiere screening of Citadel, the much-talked-about Prime Video series from Marvel auteurs Anthony and Joe Russo.
Two episodes of varying length, but both well under the hour mark, played as a surprise screening for the packed opening night crowd. The response from the audience, which comprised a mix of industry professionals and students from the University of St. Andrews, a co-organizer of the fest, was jubilant with heavy laughs and gasps for the surprisingly funny yet tricky spy thriller.
The ambitious series is led by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden, who play members of a secret global spy agency called Citadel. After a deadly attack, the agency is disbanded, and its elite agents are wiped of their memories. With Citadel out the way, a new powerful syndicate, Manticore, is rising in the void.

Amazon Studios and MGM boss Jennifer Salke and Citadel star Priyanka Chopra Jonas sat down Friday in what is one of few entertainment-business discussions this year at SXSW. They interviewed each other on an array of topics including pay parity for lead actresses and launching a tentpole series for a global audience.
Spy series Citadel, produced by Agbo’s Russo Brothers, drops its first two episodes on Prime on April 28. (See a new clip dropped today below.)
While Chopra Jonas was fearless about asking Salke how algorithms factor into programming decisions, a notable takeaway was when the Indian actress revealed she was getting compensated equally with her male lead co-star, Richard Madden (without naming him by name).
“I’ve been working in the entertainment industry for 22 years. I have done about 70-plus features, and two TV shows,” Chopra Jonas said. “When I did Citadel, I had pay parity with my...

A couple months ago, we heard that season 2 of the series From would begin airing on MGM+ (formerly known as Epix) on April 23rd. Now a trailer for the new season has arrived online, and you can check it out in the embed above.
I haven’t watched the first season of From – our own Alex Maidy has, and said “From definitely is worthy of a multi-season run” (you can read his 7/10 review Here) – so I was surprised to see just how creepy the trailer for season 2 is. A quote in the trailer even confirms the show has creeped out the great Stephen King… so I’m definitely going to have to start watching this series.
Written and created by John Griffin, From is described as a “contemporary sci-fi horror series”. The show aims to unravel the mystery of a nightmarish town in middle America that traps all those who enter.

MGM+ president Michael Wright says transparency plays a key role in keeping storytellers and network execs on the same page when it comes to the fate and future of shows.
“I’ve been doing this long enough to know to have had that situation before, and in almost every instance we’ve been able to end long-term shows in a satisfactory way,” Wright said at Tuesday’s Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena during a panel discussion for streamer’s sci-fi series “From.” Wright introduced a slate of MGM+ shows, including “Murf the Surf” and “A Spy Among Friends.”
Wright’s words came after he was asked about the role TV executives play in a series longevity, as the industry is seeing an influx of shows being canceled before and after production or newly renewed series suddenly getting pulled.
