The Top 100 Movie Trailers

We’re counting down the greatest teasers, previews, and trailers in the history of going to the movies.

Update: Scroll down for all 100 trailers!
From Star Wars to Terminator to Spring Breakers -- yeah, we went there! -- and basically everywhere in between, there have been some amazing movie trailers over the years. After all, what gets you more excited about seeing a film in the first place than that initial tease?

Let’s not forget the days when you still had to catch a preview in the actual movie theater, seeing what might’ve been your very first glimpse of an upcoming flick. Sure, that era is mostly over now, but still, the power of the trailer has remained even as it has morphed. Nowadays, we all celebrate trailers as they show up online, pouring over every detail for our most anticipated films. And sometimes for the films we’ve barely been aware of until the trailer dropped…

So we’ve decided to celebrate the art of the trailer by ranking what we think are the top 100 movie trailers ever. Keep in mind that all kinds of trailers were considered for this list, even the ones for movies that wound up being terrible after we actually saw them (sorry, Sucker Punch). That’s because the concept of the movie preview isn’t supposed to be about whether the film is good or not. The best kind of trailer can sell you on the worst movie in the world!

With today's update, we've got all 100 trailers, including our pick for the best trailer ever. Watch them all in the playlists below:

Wondering how to use our new video playlist? Well, you can just hit play, sit back, and let all the trailers wash over you back to back like the cinematic equivalent of sunlight and honey (whatever that means!). Or, go ahead and float your cursor over each thumbnail to see what else is in the list, and tab through the arrows to jump ahead a bit.
