IELTS Enquiry on Results

Confident that your IELTS scores should be better?

You can choose to undertake an Enquiry on Results – which means having your IELTS test re-marked. The request must be made within six weeks from your test date and your test will be sent to our head office of IDP Australia for remarking by Senior Examiners.

You can choose to have one or more parts of your test re-marked and the fee is the same which is HK$1,000. A full refund will be made if your result changed to a higher band score.

You may apply for Enquiry on Results (EOR) through IELTS Online Service Portal or visit, in person or nominate an authorized person to apply on your behalf at IDP Education Wanchai Office. To apply in person, complete our IELTS Enquiry on Results Form, submit the completed form together with your original Test Report Form in our office and pay the necessary fee.

If you are applying in person, please bring along with you the following documents:

  1. Registered ID document for the test (HKID / Passport)
  2. Original completed IELTS Enquiry on Results Form (Download)

Your authorized person may make the request on behalf of you if you cannot apply in person. Only original documents are accepted except for item 1 listed below:

  1. Copy of the registered ID document for the test (HKID / Passport)
  2. Original completed Authorization Form signed by the Test Taker (Scanned copy is not accepted)
  3. Original completed IELTS Enquiry on Results Form (Download)

Note: We only accept CASH or EPS and do not accept $1000 bank note*

IDP: IA Head Office will notify us of the re-mark result at least two weeks of receipt of your application. We will then notify you via e-mail as soon as we receive this advice.

Two outcomes might arise upon remarking, which are:

No change of outcome

The original Test Report Form issued for this test date is still valid and no further action is required on your part. However, if you submitted your Test Report Form (TRF) at the time of your re-mark application, please come to IDP Office (Hong Kong) during office hour to collect your TRF if you collect your results in person.

Change of outcome

This means you will be issued a new Test Report Form (TRF) and are entitled to a full refund of the re-mark fee. Due to IELTS privacy policy, we are unable to disclose the new re-mark score by email or over the phone.

To receive the new TRF you must first surrender your original TRF, if you have not done so yet.

If you collect your results in person, please come to IDP Office (Hong Kong) with your original TRF along with your ID used on the test day during office hours to collect your new TRF and re-mark letter.

You will receive an EOR letter stating your result status.

"Please note that you cannot make any forwarding request of your results to any institution until the result has come out."
